1. Bingo to hillbilly deluxe and Paul_C! I was wondering what the name was for this tool as I've seen around some hardware stores before :)

I guess i'll be getting one of these off good ole ebay!

hillbilly deluxe:

The bass I have is a Killer KB-SIMMONY from Japan (http://www.killer.jp/killer/bass/kb_simmony_sw.html)

2. Hey guys

I need to make truss rod adjustments on my bass but the truss rod head is not allen wrenches compatible. It looks like it's a bolt nut and I need to buy some sort of hexagon adjustment tool to fit around the nut to turn it. I can't put anything in the hole as it's a circular hole but it seems like I can screw something into it?

Took a picture of the truss rod nut for you guys to take a look at so any help would be great :)

Cheers!

3. Bought this amp last month from Peter cook's in Hanwell, West London, played it in the shop and sounded great with tight lows and sounded very warm. Went ahead and purchased it but upon taking it home, I couldn't find the right sound. Probably due to the surroundings in my room like floorboards and the open space I have while compared to the shops carpet, tight space and stacks of equipment everywhere.

Amp is as new, comes with original box, packaging, manual, power cord and even the receipt so it's still under the 12 month warranty. Suitable for home practice and small gigs but you do have the option to DI it or hook it to a cab. if you require more power for larger gigs.

Bought it for £195 (last one left in shop so on special price) so will sell for £120 :) (these amps retail for £236+ elsewhere) or willing to accept trade on another amp and I don't mind throwing some money in too!

Collection from West London preferred (Ealing/Acton area) or can post but you need to arrange your own courier as the amp is extremely heavy!

Full specs. of amp is here:

4. The title and sub-title says it all :) Bought it last month from eBay... was meant to cut an ATK shape pickguard but realised I actually don't have the appropriate saw to cut the pickguard with! (I thought my dad had coping saw but apparently not!)

Pickguard specs. are as follow:

* Colour: Black (3-Ply - Black/White/Black)
* Dimensions (approx): 295mm x 250mm x 2.4mm
* Thickness: 2.4mm
* Material: 3-Ply (Black/White/Black)
* Axetec Part Number: SPSH01

Still has protective film on the surface.

If collecting, I'm in West London 20 mins away from Ealing/Acton.

:rolleyes:

5. I bought a Ritter RG3000 bass gig bag two weeks ago from Reidy's (http://www.reidys.com/index.pl?submit=View_PLU&PLU=10187) and would like to either trade this gig bag for a different gig bag (no Ritter's please! Warwick Deluxe gig bag preferred.)

Basically I received the gig bag and thought the neck was abit tight with no space for my basses (My Rickenbacker jazz bass copy just managed to fit in there but when I tried my Ibanez ATK300, one of the machineheads stuck out on the side after zipping up the gig bag)

I thought I'd leave it for abit and see if the gig bag stretches but it's still too tight in there for my basses to be honest.

Is anyone up for a gig bag trade (could put abit of money if you have something more expensive than the Ritter)

or

Does anyone want to take this off my hands for £20? (Bought new from Reidy's for £35 inc. postage and this is the cheapest price in the whole of the Internet realm.)

The gig bag itself is totally mint with no wears or tears.

Here's the full specs. of it on the Ritter website:

http://www.ritter-bags.com/revolution.html

I can post the gig bag (for an extra £5) or welcome collection. I'm in West London if collecting.

Cheers!

6. So I just sold my massive Marshall combo and looking to get a smaller combo.

In one corner I have an Ampeg BA-112 which I can get for under £200 but it's only 50 watts but I've heard the Ampeg sound is to die for!

In the other corner I have an Ashdown EB 12-180 EVO II which I can get for about £220 and it's a massive 180 watts (if I add an external cab as well but 130-ish on it's own?)

In terms of tone/sound wise and construction, which one is the better out of the two? I've read quite equal reviews and they both seem equally as good as each other.

I'll only be using the amp for bedroom practice with no carpets (I have floorboards) and my room is quite spacious too. I will also might think about DI'ing the amp to record as well so transporting is some what important to get into my car.

Might run down to Denmark Street during my lunch break this week to see if any shops has the amp but first I want to get your opinions :)
