1. For sale is a Fender American Standard Jazz in Olympic White with maple neck and tort scratchplate, in exceptional condition. With original Fender case and case candy (cloth, strap, cord, two Allen keys, trussrod tool, registration card, manual, hangtags... except the case key).

Just to make sure and avoid misunderstandings, the American Standard is passive (vol, vol, tone) in true Jazz tradition. Absolutely perfect, no dings/knocks/scratches, only some faint nail/pick swirls on the scratchplate, only visible at an angle. Beautiful satin fast neck with a tasteful glossy fingerboard (which will stay clean.... LOL). High mass vintage bridge, top load or through body. Made in USA (Corona, California).

    Thanks for looking.

  2. I have bought a pre-EB Stingray from Lee, I believe it was his first sale on BC. Very smooth transaction and very nice guy. We spoke on the phone and took it from there. Bass arrived as described and packed well. Would do business again without hesitation. Thanks Lee.

I ordered an M265 which arrived a couple of weeks ago and Atelier Z are some serious pieces of kit - the preamp is awesome on these.

If you are looking for a super jazz then these are for you.

Have a bump on for me for an amazing bass. BTW love the abalone, I wanted it on mine but very expensive these days!

Thanks Gunsfreddy, I couldn't agree more, but maybe I'm a bit biased here... LOL In all honesty, they are superb, and for some reason they are not very well known here, while in USA they already have quite a reputation, do a search on TalkBass.com.... Just a matter of time.

    Cheers

I was curious when you posted a reply on my Atelier selling thread.

These are amazing basses. But unfortunately needs must!

So sorry to see mine go and this one too. The new owners will love them for sure.

Thanks guys. The bass is stunning and unique, but it has finally dawned on me that to have it and not to use it is madness, so somebody else should.

    Cheers

  5. For sale is something rarer than hen's teeth: ATELIER Z JINO 4 CUSTOM, in Transparent White with matching headstock and abalone blocks, 100% original, not modded in any way, shape or form, and in A-B-S-O-L-U-T-E-L-Y "AS NEW" condition. I am playing so little that I don't see justifiable anymore keeping this extraordinary piece, hence the search for a new home where it can be really appreciated. For those who are not familiar with the quality and craftmanship of this Japanese boutique, maybe you can ask Jerry Barnes of Chic (among many others) what he thinks about them... ;) Watch him in action with his Atelier z, pickups in the same '70s position, same preamp, same woods and abalone blocks as the Jino:

I have imported the bass directly from Japan a couple of years ago, and have played it only a handful of times in my bedroom (lack of time/space...). The model is designed by New York-based Japanese bassist Kenji "JINO" Hino, fitting a Stingray humbucker together with the classic J pups for maximum flexibility. On Youtube you can see many videos of Atelier Z players and also of Jino in action, especially where he promotes Roland XL Cube amps. You can find all the info on the dedicated Jino model page in the atelierz.co.jp website:

Made in May 2013, 34in scale, full-size ash body, vintage tint maple neck with abalone block inlays and classic white binding, Schaller BMFL tuners, BadAss II bridge (standard 19mm spacing), Atelier Z JBZ-4 single coils pickups in '70s position, Seymour Duncan SMB-4A Stingray-style humbucker, Atelier Z EQ/M preamp (very transparent preamp, no significant tone change when flicking it on: front J vol, rear J vol - pull for passive, mini switch between J and HB, treble cut/boost, bass boost only, HB vol). Currently strung with virtually new Atelier Z nickel strings. Needless to say the bass sounds spectacular and punchy in both passive and active mode, with a very sturdy feel about its construction.

Weight is exactly 10lbs on my bathroom digital scale, so quite light considering all the functions. The ash body appears to be a slightly creamier shade of white (more transparent) than the maple headstock (a plainer white). It comes with its own card/certificate, in its original Atelier Z semi-rigid padded portabag, also in perfect condition.

RRP from Atelier Z is 330,000 Yen (around 2,300 - 2,400GBP), although you can check on Digimart and J-Guitar (Japan's two largest online musical instruments websites) and the street price is around 285,000 Yen (2,000 - 2,100GBP). And that's for the standard Jino 4 without the CUSTOM OPTIONS: the colour, the abalone blocks and the pearloid scratchplate. On top of that, of course, you have to consider mandatory extras such as VAT at 20%, import duty around 3.5% and insured shipping to the UK, so do your maths and realise that - like for like - there's at least a grand to be saved here....

Price is [s]1,800[/s] 1,700 GBP, plus shipping. Sorry but I am not interested in any trade and would ask you to pay by bank transfer as I normally tend to do here on BC.

    Thanks for looking.

Atelier Z are amazing basses, it's a shame that they are not quite so well known as they should be - the bass players in Chic and Incognito use them permanently so gives you an idea of just how good they are.

Cannot agree more, mate. I have imported one from Japan (a Jino 4 in olympic white with abalone blocks and traditional binding) a couple of years ago and I absolutely love it. Like with all Jap basses, the attention to detail is spectacular.

Bump for a cracking feature packed, great sounding amp :) - Absolutely love mine and if I was still Gigging regularly - I would buy this as a back up in a heartbeat :) GLWTS - but you shouldn't need any luck, this is a bargain :)!!
Cheers mate :)

  8. I have had this great, clean-sounding head for quite some time, but it's been locked in the closet untouched for a few years now (not gigging, no cabinet anymore, lack of space/time....) so I apologise if you may find a dusty pot. Comes in a Gator flight case and includes its power cable and a speakon cabinet cable.

(Sorry, but for some funny reason I cannot make the pics rotate in the right way, even if when I watch them in my PC they are OK....)

I am afraid the serial number sticker disappeared long ago, although the back of the case clearly says 2- 8 ohms. I vaguely remember reading that some heads had some kind of an electrical issue, I do not know exactly. I have no way to verify and I do not remember having any problem with this, but if you are not satisfied I will refund you without hesitation (except for any return costs and PayPal fees, if any), that's all I can promise and do.

Price excludes shipping (which could be a bit expensive due to insurance, size and weight), if interested please get in touch with your postcode for a quote. Established UK Basschatters may use PayPal, otherwise bank transfer or good, old-fashioned cheque (yes, they still exist.... LOL). No trades at all please, that would defy the purpose, I am playing so little that my other practice amp is more than enough.

I am also selling an EDEN WTX 260 separately. Both amps are also on eBay UK.

    Thanks for looking.
