Just wondering where my eleven quid has gone.

I found that the amp has amazing power but lacks tonally.

Just my opinion.

The OTB is undoubtedly loud but I think it lacks in the tone department.

I have just tried the new Ashdown ABM1000. Devastating power with tons of headroom. The new digital power amp has reduced the weight, but it doesn't sound like it's a digital amp. Loads of bottom end. To me, the amp sounds more punchy and responsive than a current ABM. Sounded great with an active Yamaha and a Fender Jazz.

I can't believe there's a 2000w version!

Well worth trying out.

Absolutely love this. Amazing feel.

Being 'in the zone' is quite common for performers, sports, etc. It happens occasionally, where you can do no wrong and the playing seems automatic.

Used to do it, but it's not in the set at present.

Just a little reminder about this Sunday's gig.

I love their take on the pop tunes they cover. I recommended our keyboard player have a listen to their reworked tracks. He was totally unimpressed. I think they are am acquired taste , but despite being a big fan, I'd like to hear something different.

Again an amazing take on a pop cover. The bassist is fast becoming a new bass hero...amazing technique, feel and tone. The overall playing is impeccable. However, I have to agree it's all sounding the same.

Please stop posting these pics. I already have one and don't need another.

Amazing track!

There used to be a three-piece band in stoke called fatal attraction. They were so bad it was funny. The audience loved them because the songs sounded a little like the original songs.

I had a 20th anniversary model. A beautiful instrument, but it had faulty pickups. Took me over a year to sort out, as Alembic's customer service was abysmal. The sound is an acquired taste, extremely hi-fi, with no warmth whatsoever.

Does anyone know how this amazing (IMO) bass sound might have been achieved in the studio? The player is Mark Adams of Slave. I'm pretty sure he was using an Alembic at this time.
