1. Here's some feedback for mark_ir who has just bought my mesa boogie big block 750. I know him personally, so I know he is very reliable and accomodating. He has a right collection of basses and amps and he runs Leeds' best rehearsal studio Old Chapel Studios. So he regularly buys and sells gear.

  2. SOLD

Selling these on behalf of my drummer.

BRAND NEW BOXED and unused - Ashdown CTM-300 all valve head, CL-410 cab and Ashdown CL-115 cab. From what I know these have just come out, so I know very little about them. Top of the range though, all valve head. They were bought as replacements for flood damaged gear. Prices are discounted off retail.

    More info: http://www.ashdownmu...p?section=valve

  5. THIS IS NOW SOLD TO THE CHAP IN THE 'DUB' LAND ROVER AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE...;-P

    Hi,

A bit of a feeler as I am considering switching to a Class D head for the time being...

Here's my Mesa Boogie Big Block 750 in custom made, wood, Matamp head case. It is a pre mute button model, so I think it dates back to early/mid 2000's. It is a stunning and powerful amp, but not quite clean enough for me - the overdrive channel is insane though! And after 6 weeks of touring, I am thinking of switching to something a bit lighter.

It was fully serviced by David Gaffrey (Mesa's authorised tech man for this area) 18 months ago. I also had him set the DI at a fixed level and remove the DI level knob. I do not have the original footswitch, but I have a modified Carlsbro one that works with it.

Cosmetically, the head itself is in superb condition. The wood head case has the odd scrape and scuff etc. I will include more pictures if there seems to be some interest.

I would like £850 for it.

  6. SOLD

Finally got a Mesa Boogie Big Block 750, so the time has come to sell my first ever head.

It is an Ashdown ABM300 EVOI head which I bought new when they first came out. As the pictures show the head is well used. Now, it does really need a service, badly - all rotary pots are making noise and for example if you turn the bass from flat, the signal will break up, same with the harmoniser. So it really needs a thorough service. Otherwise it runs fine. I have been running it flat for the last 8 months and it has been fine. It has provided me with 10 years (I think!? Can't remember when they first came out?) of trouble free service.

No trades, would prefer collection from Leeds to be frank and ideally I am looking for £100 to cover a custom wood case being made for my BB750. Someone please tell me if this is unrealistic?

  8. Does anyone one know the user 'Sting2007' (Paul is his name) personally? http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showuser=1264

I have been trying to buy his amp off him, after he put it up for sale here: http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=...=0&p=701010 two weeks ago.

I had contact off him the day he put the ad up answering my questions, but since then nothing at all! According to his profile, he hasn't even logged on to bass chat for 2 weeks!? This seems mental after just putting an ad up to that value.

So, does anyone actually know him and if he is still alive!?!?!
