to be honest my one could do with some lemon oil and it would darken up a fair amount. It’s not that light in person.- 1

I currently have a pair of daphne blue ones and a black one. My favourite basses ever. Do I need another black one...?
I feel you do. It’s only fair on the lonely black one you own.

One of those would appear to do the trick and are somewhat cheaper than the midi i/o, if less available...
its only midi in and midi thru FYI

I’ve got one here I can post out to try if you want.
another thing to try is send a program change from the laptop if you have a USB > midi converter (also have one here you can try). Then you could eliminate the QC out of the equation.
and I have a chase bliss midi box that I think has jumpers internally to convert the outputs to Meris. But I’d need to open it up and check.
god, I hate midi lol. Always makes life too complicated.
drop me a PM 😀

Just had a thought…
Have you got one of these lying around?
Put the DIN>TRS into the splitter left channel > Meris. Then try the mono into the right channel > Meris.
you’d essentially end up sending the midi out to the tip or the ring so both type A and type B.
does that make sense? I’ve used this before to trouble shoot
-
sometimes you can pull the trs cable half out of the socket and it’ll make the tip of the cable hit the sleeve of the pedal input - so essentially swapping the type of cable.
also need to check you’ve done all the hidden settings on the Meris to receive midi etc.

That looks fantastic and I'm
in Cambridge ... any sound files ir video?
hey! It’s a thing of beauty! Great neck and the fingerboard is a lovely dark one. I’ve not had it long so no clips I’m afraid but you are very welcome to come and try it out. Bring an amp or use mine, I can stick some flats on it if preferred. I’m about tomorrow and all weekend I think. Castle Camps.
cheers

REDUCED to £2550 for a quick sale - If the bass I'm looking at goes, I'll put the price back up or withdraw tbh.
This is a fantastic Jazz!
All case candy, case, original pick guard, covers, certificate, floor traveler.
Frets all good and no wear
I have a box and packaging if you want to arrange for collection. Or collection from near Linton, Cambridge.
Aged scratch plate in Mint green added from a German company that cost me £70.
9.2lbs on my scales though I think it was advertised slightly lower....
EDIT - Back up for sale only as something has come up I’d love to try. Not looking for trades as I need the cash for another bass

Due to a pricey house bill coming in much higher than expected, this is now up for sale.
Having had 3 JMJ basses now (don't ask, I'm an idiot), I can safely say this one is fantastic!
In great condition apart from the obvious relic from the factory. No fret wear. All working 100%
Comes with a new stay fender gig bag (short scale), original Fender flats, some round wounds and fitted with La Bella. Also includes the perl white pick guard.
£950 posted or collection from near Linton Cambridge.

Reduced to £2750. I’d it doesn’t sell at that price I’ll keep it tbh. Sale only now.

I had that with a SSL BiG SIX. Drive me bonkers. Never worked out how to solve it I’m afraid apart from not slowing the computer to sleep.

One of these
or
with one of these
pretty sure they’re all correct. I might even have a few bits in the draw of doom if you pm me what you’re after specifically.

You can 100% get a midi Din to 1/4” trs cable made up for Meris specs (pretty sure Meris use TRS type-A). You could probably get away with a Din to 1/8” TRS with a stereo headphone 1/8” to 1/4” converter on the end. Obviously this will only do Midi one way - but do you really need Midi In and Out to the Meris?

sure Designacables could make one up for you

Thought I’d put this on here as I’d take a good P Bass (rosewood board) in trade plus cash. Also a Tone Hammer amp 350 or 500. Ampeg PT-20 or 50.
Only recently got this on a trade. I've always wanted to try one and it hasn't disappointed. Sounds fantastic and looks amazing too. It's the 35 version, so midrange for Lowden with great tunes and the rosette in abalone, back of the headstock gets a nice layer of Ebony (I assume) to match the front. Redwood top, Rosewood back and sides with the typical mahogany/rosewood laminated neck.
Condition is fantastic. Frets are virtually unmarked, no dings apart from a few faint marks on the top edge of the headstock. Comes with a Hiscox case.
As lovely as it is, I've come to the conclusion I'm really after either a Martin sound, or a more American sound with a quicker decay. OO or possibly an OM. Although I could be tempted by the right dreadnaught, really, I should stick with what I think I'm after. I prefer Mahogany over Rosewood.
I'll happily keep this for a while until something right comes up. It's a very intimate sounding instrument. Not like most small bodied guitars I've tried, this really has a larger voice than it should with a good dynamic range. I would just like something with a larger scale length, a slightly bigger body a different tone.
Straight sale price - £3250
I can pack it up for collection if you wish to arrange a courier. If it's a trade I can add a small amount for the right guitar or happily take something thats not as expensive and have some cash my way.
No trades now I’m afraid.
Based in Cambridge, near Linton for any one wanting to come and test it out or collect- 3

Not sure if it would help, but OBNE have a pedal for vocal FX, maybe that could help, though maybe ott.
https://oldbloodnoise.com/pedals/p/maw-xlr-pedal
and Eventide Mixing Link could help as it has a FX loop and switchable
