I bought it used, it’s a dean eabc. Might just send it in to get fixed.

So, I just bought a new acoustic bass, and it seems to rattle when I play. And for some reason the top half of the guitar notes sound the same from about fret 1-7 then it’s fine from there. is there any way I can fix this?
