As in 32" scale?

Pretty good, I didn't try the 105Q but I wanted something that could be activated automatically instead of having to step down on it, so that fitted the bill, plus it's very customisable so you can go for a fairly mellow more vintage sound or a more extreme modern sound. It's good anyway, and it works fine for bass or guitar.

No actual board yet, but this is my setup:



Boss TU-2 > Marshall GV-2 Guv'nor reissue > Ibanez Weeping Demon > Boss DD-5 with tap tempo switch > Boss FV-500L volume pedal

(the 3 footswitch bank is for my guitar amp)

Before June 22nd for me, after that I'm dahn sarf for the summer. Although I might make the occasional trip to brum, seeing as I'll be renting a house...

For bass anyway. With guitar I could add a lot of others but I don't use FX that much with bass.

At my only gig, I tried to walk up to the mic to do backing vocals in the chorus of a song, only to realise the singer was standing on my lead and had basically pinned me to the middle of the stage. I tried to get her to move but she was totally oblivious, so all I could do was stand there and play...

It's good to have a backup bass too...I intend to replace my MIM jazz 5 with something better someday but I'll be keeping it as a backup.

I've got 2 basses and 5 guitars and wouldn't get rid of any of them except one of my classical guitars because they're basically the same (only have 2 because I found one in a skip)

Yeah, both USB2.0 and Firewire have plenty of speed, more than you'll ever need for audio work.

Sounds like a sweet bass!

haha, me and my mates were there a few weeks ago and got hopelessly lost too! We were just driving round and picking whatever road 'looked' like it would be the way to where we were going

It got us there in the end though!

Got a fair few amps...Laney R4, R410 & R115 stack, which is my main bass amp, Laney HCM65B which is my backup/uni amp, Roland Cube 60 guitar amp, and some dodgy german 12" monitor which I got for free. Bought it off ebay, didn't work, complained to ebay, seller never got back to me so ebay refunded. Then opened it up with dad and it was just a piece of solder shorting out the power supply...removed that and it works fine!

Good...Bought an SM57 off there, cheapest I could find and no complaints with delivery time. And it was actually a real SM57, unlike the one from ebay before...

AFAIK you can do that with solid state heads, but tube heads don't like it.

Still interested. As long as I'm back from uni and have acquired a car, I should be able to make it.

+1 on the white pearloid. I think the white is a good colour but pearloid will make it look less plain.

Chris - poor student just finishing first year of a computer science degree, plays a 5 string mex jazz and also has a Michael Kelly 5 string acoustic which doesn't see much use, Laney rig, various pedals...'Plays' in 3 different bands, but none of them are doing anything much (the 3rd one still doesn't have a name...). Which is a bit frustrating, but hopefully over summer things will get back into gear. Been playing for nearly 4 years now but I'm still a bit crap...oh well.
