  1. Loving it! I had a problem with the preamp earlier this year and it had to go back to John East for a service and upgrade. Other than that it's been fab. So easy to play - and I'm a 4 stringer.

Custom wound Aero pickups. The bass was originally made for a Doctor in Houston who sold it onto a shop called Danny D's. I picked it up there and brought it back to the UK in Nov 2006.

    That's helpful. Thanks.

Did I buy it from you on eBay? Probably a couple of years ago? It came with a Modulus case.

  3. I'm selling a pair of Fostex PM1 (Mk 1) studio monitors that are surplus to requirements.

They are in good condition - one monitor has a few scuffs on the front edge of the cabinet. They are in perfect working condition and are pretty decent for an affordable monitor.

For an SOS review, which also includes specs and dimensions please see here:

I have no boxes for these, so collection from my home in Crystal Palace/Upper Norwood, South London is preferred.

Price is £100 for the pair.

  4. I'm selling my P-Retro preamp as I no longer have a bass for it. Lovely preamp, no issues, complete with charger and alternative capacitor. It's lived behind a pick guard all its life so good condition :)

    Price is £135 posted.

  5. I have an old Samson Servo 240 power amp. It's a 120w per side stereo power amp that is more suited to studio monitoring. It's had a few knocks and scrapes particularly on the top panel when going in and out of racks. The front fascia is not too bad.

It has jack inputs and jack and bare wire terminal outputs - and here is it's main issue. The plastic jack output on the left channel has broken. I've had a look inside the chassis and it's not a simple fix as the socket is on a circuit board. It's fine to use with the bare wire terminals. No other issues, but jack socket and scratches determine throwaway price - [s]£20[/s] collected from my home in South London.

Price drop. Now free. Come and get it. Otherwise it will be reassigned as a doorstop. :)

  6. Did somebody say Modulus?

Ash body, mahogany core, spalted maple top, "1000 dancing ladies" graphite neck, John East U-Retro preamp, MEC pick-ups (I think).

    :)
