Hey Gang.
I have a standing ticket for Level 42 at the Indigo O2 in London tonight - Friday 11th November. If you’ve never been to the Indigo, it’s the rather nice smaller venue within the main O2 Arena complex. Feeling a little unwell so looking to move it on in case I can’t go. £35, and you’ll need the AXS ticket app for me to transfer the ticket to you. Cheers!

Hi. From your experience how well do they work live? Is the bass clear?
Remembering back to the few times I used my original set, yes the bass is clear providing you spend some time with the fittings and get a good seal. Everything is clear really. Not the most pleasant listen for iPod, but for their intended purpose they work very well. They are not as good as my multi driver custom moulds, but they couldn't be (and there is a huge price difference too). They can go super loud so watch your headphone amp levels!

What does it weigh please?
Using my unflatteringly accurate bathroom scales and the me + bass minus me method - it weighs 9lbs.
And I need to lose some weight.

Yes I have!

This 2005 limited edition Stingray is in very good condition, all original with original matching case. No issues with the instrument. Everything works and sounds how you expect. Set up by my luthier at Feline Guitars and it plays really well. Minor cosmetic marks on the body, including some player wear to the glossy finish where your right wrist sits. Ash body, maple neck with satin finish, rosewood fretboard, 3 eq, in buttercream with matching headstock and purple logo print. I’ve read online that only 75 of these were ever made. If you study the pictures carefully, you’ll notice that it’s utterly beautiful!
£1150. Collection preferred, but can post at cost.

This is an unused pair of Sennheiser IE500 Pro in ear monitors in smoky black. The box has only been opened to take the pictures.
I bought a previous pair which developed a fault, and were replaced with this brand new pair by Sennheiser under warranty. In the meantime I ordered a set of custom moulds, so these are surplus to requirements.
These cost £529 at Sennheiser. Selling these for £375. Price drop to £300.

I’m moving on my Yamaha TRB-6II. It’s a lovely bass in good overall condition, with a few minor cosmetic scuffs. It has had a recent set-up and fret dress by my luthier at Feline Guitars in Croydon. Electrics are all good. And it comes in a used Gator ABS case. 35" scale, three band eq, alnico pickups, ash body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, 52mm nut width, 18mm string spacing. I believe the serial number dates it to 1998. Great player, comfortable neck for my average sized hands - just moving it on as I have something rather special incoming.
Bass is located in SE19 South London. Collection welcome. Can post at cost.

Lovely, I've always lusted after a Glockenklang but never owned one. The temptation is strong but I have absolutely no justification (lust apart).
Off topic, of course, but is that a 5 Star Status case - 9th from the left in the row?
Lust is a good enough reason. No other justification needed!
And well spotted on the Status case 😊

Regretfully moving on my Glockenklang Blue Sky head. Lovely Class A preamp, subtle, musical EQ, Class D power amp section that never seems to break a sweat, great DI and versatile feature set.
The amp is in good condition, has been well looked after, and comes with its original gig bag and rack ears.
Can post at cost.

He might have been at Live Aid. But he didn't play the gig!

I very recently bought the 64 Black Panel version. I felt very unsure about spending so much on a preamp pedal. Literally the first notes I played through it I thought "Oh yes, that's good. Worth it. Keeping it". I wish I could afford this too. Have a bump!

My latest acquisition; a Fender Japan PB70. I've had this for about 3 weeks now, bought from @lapolpora from the Marketplace. The colour caused much discussion in the sale thread, and I can confirm that it looks absolutely nothing like the pictures below 😄 It's probably Sonic Blue but does look Daphne Blue at times. I stuck on a set of Gotoh lollipop tuners I had spare and some Dunlop flats and it plays and sounds fantastic. I really need to get the Patio Magic out.
Looking great Jono. Enjoy!

Oh man, I’d love an 88-key Rhodes. An early 70s suitcase 88 came up locally during lockdown but the shop weren’t allowing visits so was unable to test it. I didn’t want to drop a load of coin on something that might’ve needed loads of work so I missed out. Still toying with ordering a new mark 8, but they are only 73 keys for now.
And 8 grand!

Pins, Plate n 6 Screws in ankle, done tib n fib... so on crutches, at the mo, but when i can drive again...
I'm local-ish in Orpington.
Don't spose you ever venture over this way, to get on the M25 or A21?
Sounds painful. Hope you recover quickly and well. If I venture your way in the next few weeks I’ll let you know 😊

The OP is also the only person ever to buy Rummikub - that Richard briers advert where he sounds like a teddy bear is a real turn off
sorry - I’d love it but can’t find space as I only have two basses so I’m pretty much the bass chat version of Bob cratchett in A Christmas Carol 🙄
If you buy the stand it will encourage you to get more basses!
I don’t think Rummikub has ever been played. Buy the stand and I’ll throw it in for free 😁
Pie Face is great fun. More on my level.

Is that a Rhodes lid in the next room?
Yes it is! Well spotted. From a Mark I Stage 88. Alongside loads of recycling material and other clutter! 😀

Sonic blue on the back .. the top has undergone some discoulouring which made it even more interesting
I can see what you mean in the pics, but there is no discolouration. That's the lighting. It really doesn't do the colour justice. It's a hard colour to capture!

That's surf green .. I had a Japanese fender from 93 which was the same but with a maple neck .. Looks a lovely bass mate
Thanks. When I bought it it was described as Sonic Blue. And it's definitely blue in the flesh!

What time were Mari and Level 42 on stage? Very tempted to take a couple of extra paracetamol!
It's not "that" illness. I wouldn't be irresponsible with this.
