  1. **SOLD**

    Hi All,

Reluctant sale as need money for house repairs. I’m based in Cambridge, but happy to meet in reasonable distance.

Bought this his year from fellow Basschat member in France. I hope he doesn’t mind me using his excellent description!:

    - Wal MKII 5 strings from 1988 (W3114)
    - Brazilian Mahogany body
    - Maple neck and rosewood fretboard
    - Solid black body
    - Complete clear gloss finish (body + neck)
    - 17mm string spacing
    - 5.2kg.
    - Original Wal case included, also in a very good condition.

The bass condition is amazing for a 20 years old bass. The only changes made on the bass has been to change the frets. It has been made by Christope Leduc last year (May 2017) and he made a complete checkup as well.

  2. Sometimes fine, but I found in busier venues it would drop out  frequently - I presume due to greater wireless traffic. Easy to link to an external router though. I used an Apple Airport Express with the XR18 and had no problems. Would definitely recommend a dual band, as still less traffic on 5GHz at moment. Currently I use a Nowsonic Stage Router and have zero dropouts and haven’t found a distance it doesn’t work at yet! (Obviously at a price though.)

  3. I went from the XR18 to the X32 Core + S16 stage box. It’s much more flexible, and lots more you can do with it, but not a huge leap in sound quality. Interestingly the iPad interface is much more intuitive on the XR18, but that’s mostly because of the greater options on the X32.

I honestly struggle going back to a physical desk now, and not sure why anyone wants something you can’t use at the bar nowadays :)

    Now £1450  £1400  £1350

Musicman Stingray 5 Classic. Natural with maple fingerboard and East MMSR 3 band pre-amp.

Totally amazed to be selling this, but now I have a Wal it's just sitting there, with a sad look on it's face, and needs to be played!

Excellent condition. Original case included. List price is around £2200 now, and around £150 for the preamp.

Pickup from Cambridge, or met up within reasonable distance.

    Cheers,

    Andy

It's all a bit beaten up but works fine!

Equinox Megabar with original stand and with cases (which are a bit torn and mildewed!). Also foot control which has one cracked pedal but still works fine.

Prosound Preva moonflower moving head (looks good with smoke machine, but don't get too excited!) Will also throw in a pretty decent lighting stand.

    £100 £90, now £80 collected from Cambridge.

    Cheers, Andy

Just an observation, even if the B-string is in tune, to my ears it isn't intonating properly, it's a little flat.  You need to move the saddle forward a bit; if you're unable to do a full setup, at least bring it forward so the saddle follows the diagonal manner of the other strings.

As the ‘previous owner’ I’d say the two As on the B string sound ok to me! Not sure you can gauge intonation by looking :)

    Hi,

    Now £950  £900  £850

For sale my barely used Fender American Professional 4-string Jazz Bass in Olympic white. Fitted with pearl scratch plate and chrome precision knobs, but original mint green scratch plate and plastic knobs included. Original Fender hard case. No signs of wear that I can find. Selling as I always need a 5-string for my band.

Pick up from Cambridge preferred. No trades except in the unlikely event someone has a fretless Wal they want to do a part exchange on!

    Any questions just shout.

    Cheers,

    Andy
