1.
Dragonlord, have you played a Shuker?
Nope, but unless I'm missing something there isn't any huge difference in cost that could justify the price difference between a shuker and a sei. From photos and reviews, the craftmanship seems great as well. You may prefer the end result of a sei, but I can't see why there should be such a difference - except for hype, maybe. Even if Seis have better/more expensive woods, this can't justify the difference.
Mind you, Seis can be great basses on their own right, I just think that the price is too much for what you get.

  2. Well, to answer the original question, no, IMO they are not worth it. I've played a few, gathered info, went to the shop, almost ordered one and I'm still glad I didn't. Actually, I wouldn't pay half the prices they ask for. BTW, you can do all the math you want, but if Shuker can do it for 1000 pounds less, then it's possible. The Gallery is indeed in London, but it's also a store and I'm sure that it's mostly the store side that keeps them in a central spot and not the building side. Anyway, I do intend to write down my views on Sei more precisely at some point, just not yet. They do have some of the most beatiful body shapes I've seen though and the craftmanship is superb, but these are not my top priorities in a bass.

  3. Well... seems like they're out of stock, as they don't have them in their site. So, I found this ebay auction (from the US though):
    http://cgi.ebay.com/Comfort-Strapp-Neopren...1QQcmdZViewItem
and also here's the list of official dealers:

I don't think there are other options...

  4.
You can get an adaptor from Maplins that will power this pedal, or you can actually use the Line 6 one that is intended for the modeller pedals like the DL-4, FM-4 etc. They're cheaper than the actual DigiTech supplies at least.
Aren't the Line6 pedals DC? I think that there is a 1spot adaptor for them, so they must be.
Edit: I just saw that they can also be powered with batteries, so they're DC.

  5. What tayste said. I also hated my ODB. You don't really need to explain rubbish, it's like "sounds like rubbish to me". It doesn't have to have a "deeper" reason like compressing highs or missing lows or blikibliking mids, if you think the sound is crap then it's crap. Easy.

  6.
Thanks Dave. I'll let you know my thoughts when I get it. I see they no longer do the 310212. That was bit of a monster!
Yeah, Jorg told me that the 210212 works just as well in his opinion.

  7.
PM me you address and I'll send you one next week. It will be short and you can extend it on the mono end to however long you need.

Light a candle in your local church or give some money to a charity.
Just got the cable, 50 euro were also just paid to Amnesty International in your name.

  8. I think the best kind of advertisement would be to ask nicely at the Gallery, the Bass Centre and other guitar/bass stores to let you stick a page on the window or on the wall... you won't find more bassists anywhere else.
Actually, maybe you could ask some other european stores to do that as well... maybe if we have a member from the Netherlands they could do that at Paul's Bass Matters and the Bass Connection etc... spread the world around the rest of europe as well.

  9. hehe, well, as I wrote on tb, i like bass - i've got bass toys (my dingwall, my glockenklang rig and my effects). I like sex - so I've got a few sex toys as well. I don't use it on (or is it in?) myself if that's what you wanna know :)
I think Tayste bought it to use it on his bass though, I don't know how normal this is ^_^

  10.
For the sake of all interested in the X2, the preceding conversation was about the cable that comes out of the output of the receiver. The instrument to transmitter cable is not an issue with full bandwidth output.
I was thinking... since the not-full-range signal is supposed to immitate the signal through a guitar cable, wouldn't connecting this "stereo" cable to a usual cable make the signal usual "limited" bandwidth again?
