I purchased, about 1 year ago, A Vintage (brand) 330/335 copy (first series, not the later series with off-set 'horns'). It is an excellent guitar (built in the Peerless factory, I think) with Wilkinson nickel plated hardware and dog ear P90 p/ups. The tuners are genuine Grovers. This is one of the best "335" I've ever owned!! And I have had the "Big G" brands!
On the basis of this, I recently bought a "Vintage" Strat model, again with Wilkinson p/ups. This is even better than the 335 !!! (And much better than similar "F" brand Strats in my mind) Why pay £1,300 for a Strat, when you can get better for £350 - 400?
I have now just bought a "Vintage" Jazz Bass, again with Wilkinson p/ups and hardware - £200 - brand new, bankrupt stock!. This is to replace an £1,800 Fender American Elite bass - which I tried very hard to like and justify the price..................but I just couldn't! Judging by my previous Vintage/Wilkinson purchases, I don't expect to be disappointed by this one.
