  1. Yes +1 to this. I use a split signal and a stand-alone Ampeg SCR-1 to get the same result. Best thing I ever did.
  2. I have been through many pedals over the years and have settled on these 3 which have been mainstays on my board for a few years now. Boss TU-3 tuner > Tech21 Sansamp BDDI for some drive/growl > Tech-21 DP-3X for compression > Ampeg SCR-1 without the drive on for extra low-end push. Those three outputted into a top class DI box and you can't go wrong IMHO. I used a REDDI myself. Then direct to the sound desk. The Ampeg SCR-1 is a great bit of kit because one can use it as a stand-alone personal monitor with in-ears. You can see in the second picture below how I run 2 x Sansamp (split signal: 1 direct out and paralell out to the Ampeg-SCR1) then plug the wireless pack into the AUX input of the Ampeg SCR1. My in-ears out from the Ampeg mixes my bass signal with the mix of the monitor pack. Allows me to ACTUALLY hear my bass in the monitor mix and lets me control the amount of equalization without effecting the direct signal of my bass to the sound board. Very versatile setup because you will have trouble hearing your bass in the mix at most churches unless you have an amp right behind you (which is rare these days). Keep it simple is my motto. No modulation or delay/reverb.
  3. Just stumbled upon this post. New member here. Just moved back to the UK from spending most of my life in Canada. I was a worship team bassist with a Hillsong Church in Toronto since 2009 but left in 2017 because, well... it's Hillsong. It is a place with a short shelf-life for mature people (in age and in spirit) unfortunately. What is the worship team life like here in England? I have ocassionally attended church nearby in Brighton (St. Peter's/BrightCityUK) but since the lockdown started we haven't been able to experience church in person. It seems decent but a bit too "evangelical" for my tastes. Is it difficult to get on worship teams here in the UK? Are there any churches in the south of England that cater more to the older (35+) and more mature, progressive Christian who doesn't like to listen to fundamentalist dogma being proliferated any longer?
