So I own this Shuker contraption and its lovely. But for the life of my I cant find strings for the thing and Jon himself isnt even sure whats on it. I bought it 4 years ago and havent changed them yet but would like to for my next tour.
Its 36 scale and uses proper double bass strings with a bar at the bridge end. The machine heads are normal bass guitar size though so the stings need to be short enough to have the thin end to string through.
Any specific suggestions for suitable strings? Thanks

There was a power supply but I promptly lost it at a gig. Any generic 9v plug will work tho... I use my boss plug from my stompboxes no bother.

Kinal 5 string bass, MK-5 (M72)

Gorgeous Mike Kinal (Canada) bass for sale. It's a five string with a beautiful quilt maple top in an amber stain. Matching head stock (quilt/amber) with a very nice birds-eye maple cap to the rear. Alder body with a lovely quilt-maple top. Ebony fingerboard on maple + five-piece neck with graphite reinforcement. 2 Aero jazz pickups with Bartolini preamp, 3EQ and 3-way midrange selector switch. The scale length is 35" (for a better 'B'), with a 1 and 11/16" nut. String spacing is 9mm at the nut and 17mm at the bridge. Weight is 8 & 3/4 lbs.

Great condition - the only significant 'ding' (which has no effect on playing, and is hard to see) is a small (0.5cm) one to the side (only) of the ebony board, between frets 1 and 2 (below the G-string). This is one of the best constructed, 'all-purpose' basses I've ever played. Slaps well, is punchy for rock and can also produce more mellow tones

It comes with a high-quality gig-bag and the unique, wooden tuning peg winder (this one in a matching quilt maple!) as supplied with all Kinal basses.

Kinal custom basses have graphite-reinforced necks, attached with six bolts for extra strength and better sustain. The fretted and fretless fingerboards are made from rosewood, ebony, maple, or pau ferro.

Pickups come from Lindy Fralin, Bartolini, EMG, Basslines, and other makers, with 9- or 18-volt active electronics available.

Scale length can be 34", 34.5", or 35". The necks and bodies are ergonomically sculptured to allow comfortable access to the extended scale. These instruments also balance extremely well and are lightweight for long playing periods.

Actually I have a 3rd Samson system for sale now with 2 bugs (1 strat & 1 gibson)

Ive got 2 Airline Samson bug systems ( 1 strat style, 1 gibson style) up for grabs and an AKG SR40 system.

All are in very good condition and perfect working order. The transmitters and receivers are available only (who needs original boxes and instructions anyway, theyre not collectors items :-)

The AKG is £100 and £140 each for the Samsons

UK/Ireland postage is included - add £10 for international.

Looking to trade my Samson Airline wireless system for a good reverb like a EHX or a Blackstar tube reverb... something of similar value.
Its a great system in very good condition - I have 3 sets so this is my spare which has been barely used. You can have it with either the Fender or Gibson style bug.
