I have changed all capasitors on a Trace elliot gp12 smx preamplifier.also some quad pack opamps.I got a hum problem from fullrange outputs and xlr,s ,it get worce the closer to the transformator or the powersuppy section on preamp pcb witch is close placed.the long multi lead cable does affect the hum also.have to get it close to pre pcb for low hum level.the voltage regulator 2 is hotter that reg 1.Somthing is not ok.advice would be helpful

Yes the standby or mute button works in revese.Finaly somone found that out.It is clearly stated in the user manual.This button has nothing to do with tube warm up etc ,and it only work on dj xlr outputs/outputs not affected by master volum on gp 12 smx pre amplifiers
