Congratulations, you're lucky to find something like that in such good condition, almost 40 years to the day it was first sold - pretty much NOS. Was it easy getting it shipped over?

I'm assuming the buffers are the plastic spacers on which the bridge is sitting? Are these just to raise the height of the bridge but are usually removed, hence you saying they are rare?

40 years since being sold and 44 since being made. The spacers are all original and because the bridge covers are usually taken off then they will have gone missing over the years. She is totally stock 👌😊👍

That's a beast. Bet it'll sound huge! Out of interest, any idea of weight (I know it's not going to be light)? 😁

    I don’t know but to be fair I don’t thinks it’s heavy. I have a Ricky 4003s so I guess I’m used to it 😊

  3. I’d put the feelers out in the Uk but had no real joy then found this beauty out in the US. The guy I bought it off had bought it off the son of the chap who had owned it from new in 1980 and had just flipped it. It was manufactured in late 1976 and must have sat around for several years. Anyway I’m the new lucky owner and this bass is a gem. 100% original and it still has the bridge cover plastic buffers on which is really rare to find.... I’m buzzing

    I've been looking at those.

I read that it will stop the bridge from bending, and since i changed the bridge on 5 of my 6 basses with that kind of bridges because of bending, this looks like a cheap way to prevent that.

How would you say the sound changes, what It does for the tone?

Hi. A slight fuller and brighter tone but great sustain 😊

  5. This bass was owned by Nick Gavrilovic who is the current guitarist with Placebo. Nick also plays with The Libertines and Paloma Faith to name a few. This is a great bass with some music history thrown in. I’ve left it untouched, un cleaned and its being sold just as it turned up so that Nick was the last person to play it. The bass obviously has marks because of it’s history but it’s in real good condition despite that. I also have proof of Nicks ownership available through my messages and shipping receipts ect. Comes with the Epiphone hard shell case as seen in the pictures. Collection from Bolton but I'm good to work with a courier at your expense and please get in touch with any questions. Thanks Mike
