  1. I messaged Tony this morning and he told me it's a Japanese bass but didn't say what make..... lol! I have asked him again
  2. I tweeted Tony this morning who tells me it Japanese, plays great but didn't tell me the maker
  3. No but it's pretty much the same....... Got myself a Steve Jones pick to
  4. Hi This is Tony James who's playing with Generation Sex........ Can any one tell me what this bass is because being played through a full stack Ampeg last night I've gotta say it sounded fabulous. Thanks Mike
  5. Hi I play in both an 80’s & Punk band. Both are loud and I’ve never even thought about feedback and I've experienced none whatsoever I run mine through 2 TC Electronic RS112’s with an RH750 head Its a fantastic bass so just go for it 👍
  6. It’s in great condition and is £100. The one I played in the practice room sounded great so for £100 a 300 watt versions gotta be a good buy. Yes is heavy but hey ho 😊
  7. I played the B100 at practice and it’s ok. I’ve found a B300 which appears to be identical apart from output but cannot find anything on the web like user guide or reviews ect. I’ve seen the guy in Brazil’s piece but I was after some uk info.
  8. This is my third Ricky and the problem appears to be where you would be turning the volume up it’s going down and when I’m say turning the treble down it gets brighter. I know how to adjust it now but it just seems very odd
  9. Now I know this may sound mad but the controls on these two basses operate in the opposite way….. Is this right and if so why? I’ve had my fender from new for 8 years and recently acquired my 4003 and they all work in reverse of each other 🤔
  10. Hi everyone. I used a B100 15 in a practice room this week and it sounded really good. I play punk and the 15” speaker really helped. I’ve found a B300 and weight aside are these amps ok and reliable? There seems to be little or nothing available info wise on the net….Thanks in advance Mike 😊
  11. Just buy one.... You won't regret it at all!!!!
  12. Thanks Snorkie that makes sense and is really helpful
  13. C. Protection Features The Tone Hammer 500 is equipped with several protection circuits designed to prevent any damage to the amplifier in cases where the limits of the normal operating range are breached. Protections include an over current, an over temperature, DC, and HF detectors. If any of these circuits are triggered, the amplifier will either limit its output power, or shut down. In case of a shut down the amplifier will rapidly try to restart, checking if the faulty condition is still present. In case of shut down, both Operate and Status lights will turn off.
  14. Hi everyone. I've just acquired a pre owned TH500 and I'm just enquiring if anyone knows how the onboard fan operates When I switch the amp on the fan does not operate. I've not played it properly yet and it may come on after a period of time Does this appear to be the correct way it would run or would it come on when switched on and stay on? Thanks Mike
  15. I’ve gone with the BQ500 head with the Ampeg classic pre amp and it sounds ace 👍
  16. A really well looked after TC Electronic RH750 If your searching for one then you know that these are great amps • 750 watts into 4 ohms • 3 Memory Presets (Controllable via the RC4) • Chromatic Bass Tuner (Controllable via the RC4) 4 Band semi-parametric EQ Big spec including SpectraComp and Tube Tone. I’ve attached the electronic manual https://mediadl.musictribe.com/download/software/tcelectronic/rh750-us-09-25-12.pdf The sale does NOT include the cab in the pictures but does include the 4u soft case, the rack mount mains power supply and the RC4 foot pedal & Tuner which also has the long midi lead (Over £200 on Amazon) I’ve changed direction and no longer use it but it sounds mint and has lots of power Also it's had it's large knobs replaced last year with spares available. It's well priced with the accessories that are included so please don't send in silly offers 😉 Please get in touch with any questions and it’s collection only from North Bolton Thanks Mike 07545 145900
  17. I run mine into either one/two TC Electronic RS112's. With two at 4 ohm's we are loud but I'm not going over 12 O'clock so I've got wiggle room left
  18. I have an ELF and it still baffles me as to how loud it is
  19. Hi all I'm just in the process of changing my bass head and I'm looking for guidance I've just bought and returned an Ampeg Micro VR which looked fab and sounded good until you needed volume and then it failed. I had it running through 2 x TC RS112's at 4ohm but sadly it just didn't cut it. Anyway I'm now thinking to buy one of two listed above. I love the Ampeg sound but have an Ampeg Classic Analogue Pre Amp pedal so do I go for the PF350 or the BQ500 with the pre amp pedal connected as I believe that the pre amp in that is very similar the the Micro VR which did sound good........ I'm kinda thinking that the BQ may be a little cleaner so that I'm able to get what I want with pedals with less TC character or colour The money is similar so it's a toss up between the 2 Answers on a post card lol
  20. Hi everyone... I have two TC Electronic RS112 cabs which I love and I use an RH750 with these. I have however recently run my Trace Eliiot Elf through them and was blown away with the volume that I had and probably only on No 3-5 on the master. I love the Ampeg sound and was considering getting a Micro VR and was looking for thoughts on how this would sit with my cabs. I'm thinking it will be quite loud with the two running at 4ohm which would save me buying an SVT3Pro and running that on a third volume setting I've had a PF350 and never really loved its looks and VR looks pretty cool to be fair One last question.... Would I connect them both separately to the two outputs on the VR or run one out and into the first 112 and then again out of the 1st and then into the 2nd????
  21. Hi everyone I'm needing a little guidance to get my pedals in the correct order and listed below is what I'm looking to add to my board Tuner (This is obvious) TC Electronic Nova Drive - Overdrive/distortion EHX Bass Clone - Chorus Ampeg Classic - Pre amp Boss - SYB5 Bass Synth Any thoughts on this Thanks Mike
  22. Hi Everyone I'm getting old and have been using an A4 binder with all of our song notes on a music stand (Not cool I know) to use whilst playing I'm thinking of getting a tablet that I can add all of my stuff to (In set list order) which I can then attach to my mic stand. I'm also in need of a foot controller so that I can flick back and forth whilst playing....... Any thoughts, advice or recommendations? Thanks in advance Mike
  23. Whatever it is it sounds great and I'm not lumping my heavy head about which was a major plus
