I thought all jazzes had an A neck, or do you mean the C profile, thanks

“A “necks on jazzes but love the wide “ C“ neck on a precision, for 20 years I used a 64 p neck on a 67 jazz,I bought the jazz new a but unscrewed the jazz neck and swapped it with a used 64 p neck that was on the bass next to it,can’t see that happening in a shop  these days😀

    And the decision is…

    Maple

Identical basses, both set up the same, same strings, the maple bass just fitted in with the sound of the band better, with the rosewood being a lot deeper. We were all quite surprised at the difference.

So it’s 3 x US 2013-16 Precisions in black/black/maple, fave for home use, and one for each band.

Just a thought…..,if the rosewood sounded deeper ,maybe change your eq to suit that bass, sometimes it can be “better” than the one you went for originally….

  3. I have a super twin that I am very happy with.If it’s a small gig I use a super midget,if I find I need more, which has not happened yet,I leave a midget in the car so that I  can add it to the super midget if needed...

I can add the One10 will handle more watts than it says as long as the sound stays clean, if you use a crossover type distortion it’ll roll it off and you may need to change the EQ slightly depending on where you normally have it if you are used to the flatter Supertwin which will absolutely pump out with clarity what you throw at it.

There you go - review complete!

I have the super twin, awesome.I had a 10 with a midget, that did not work, the 10 did not keep up,bought a super midget and that works great with the midget. So for a  small gig I take the sm and if I decide I need more I can grab the midget out of the car

Nothing definite yet, I’m looking at jazzes mainly, possibly a 62-66 white and tort with the dot fret markers before they changed to block inlays , I wasn’t really a fan of inlays , but saying that I viewed a 72 and a 74 I quite liked but they turned out to be not all original 🙂

I recently sold my white 62 slab jazz, although it’s still here, and yes buying is a minefield.......
