1. Just to add the price does reflect that you'll probably want to get a replacement pickup selector switch if your planning to use it live. Original ones can be found here but honestly i'd get something sturdier (and cheaper) if your planning to gig it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.Xpeavey+t40+switch&_nkw=peavey+t40+switch&_sacat=0&_from=R40
2. Alot................... it's heavy around 12lbs.................. but i've gigged it with a wide comfort strap and it was fine......I suppose part of the great tone is the sheer density of the thing and the added bonus is that you could probably kill a bear with it.
3. Thanks..... your right, its sounds great but its part of my tidy up drive as I have a new bass coming in.... if the other basses I have on here sell I may well withdraw this.
4. Last bass in my clear out. Its a 1979 Peavey T40. Condition is immaculate and the electronics work perfectly with no noise. However there is one issue and that is the end of the pickup selector snapping off (i'll include this). This is a common with T40's as the selector switches are notoriously flimsy. The selector still works but I would advise any buyer to have it replaced with something sturdier. You can also get original 70's and 80's switches very cheaply from Ebay. I'm looking for £375 due to the condition of the body and the fact that it comes with the original Peavey case and paperwork. For this price I will courier it for you as well. PM me with any questions
5. Thanks Rich Of course i'll take sensible offer on this if anyones interested
6. It's supposed to be the same as Tony levins "Barbie Flesh" Stingray but is actually slightly darker. Definately looks different under varying light conditions but Orange is the right ball park
7. For sale only. My Tony Levin OLP stingray 5 copy bought used just before Christmas. I'm in no hurry to get rid of this but due to a recent purchase I have a number of basses up for sale and if some of them shift i'll be pulling this down. It's in immaculate condition and has had a full set-up, new ernie balls and the pick-up graded to a Nordstrand. I recently compared to this to one of my students Sterling by Musicman Stingrays and it is lighter and has a much easier to play neck. £250 (Price drop £240) delivered Uk PM me with any questions.
8. Sounds great, really punchy and has a new set of DR's on........compared it with one of my students Gibson Thunderbirds and is both lighter and sounds better.......although it definitely has a precision profile neck compared to the thunderbird
9. Yes just checked your right on the seymours, apologies
10. No cat i'm afraid but I will include a hard case
11. I believe they are the Thunderbuckers
12. For sale my Cataldo JAEBird. Excellent condition although there are a couple of chips in the paint along the edges from the previous owner although nothing disastrous. This is a replicable of the John Enwistle Fender bird built by Peter Cook. Precision neck combined with a Thunderbird body. This would cost you over $1500 new. These are built in the USA to order. I'm looking for £600 delivered in the UK. Any questions just send me a PM
13. Now for sale only Price drop £1000 delivered in the UK
14. Bump - now looking for a sale - will accept sensible offers
15. and some better pictures
16. Price drop £165 (posted) Still happy to trade this
17. Price drop £1100
18. I'm really after a Warwick Streamer Stage 1 or 2 (older the better) if anyone fances a trade on this
19. Comes with a Jerzy Drozd logo'd case as well
20. Sale value price drop (£1000) Up for trade or sale is my Jerzy Drozd Basic. An absolutely cracking bass, light and really modern sounding. However i'm on the look out for something with more of a jazz profile. Jerzy Drozd is a Polish Luthier (lives and produces basses in Barcelona with a small team) who makes some very exciting (and expensive) bases - http://www.jerzydrozdbasses.com/en/ The body is Epitome and the neck maple making it very very lightweight and balanced Pickups are single coil with a very flat response - they are made in house by Jerzy Drozd's team As you can see by the photos the neck has seven bolts making it very stable and very accessible. 35" scale and set up with a new set of Dr's 40mm nut so it does feel closer to a precision Switchable from active to passive and it has an onboard OBP3-3 band pre-amp Now for sale only. Pictures aren't great and if it's still here by the weekend i'm going to get some more snaps in natural daylight.
