1. About this: Tat

Until I noticed just how dodgy the website is,

Chocie of payment for online shop? Western Union, paypal or bank transfer. Nice.

  2. My first ever "gig" (house party) I drank a lot of beer beforehand with nerves, then drank through a bottle of JD during the set, including gulping the last couple of inches in one go. Needless to say as the alc hit my system my playing got worse and worse, first speeding up to speed metal proportions (in a blues band), then to wrong keys, then to: get to the end, please just get to the end hazy stumblings. Straight after we stopped playing I went upstairs to bed. Missed the whole party.

  3. So I tried a Rickenbacker out in the Bass Cellar this weekend, and I'd like to know whats the deal with them.

Why are the older models so highly valued? Are the brand new ones that much worse? I think there were two in there, both very bad condition (one with replaced pickup) for 1300 and 1600 and to me they didn't play or sound any better than say my G&L. Is it market sentiment?

  4.
If you decide the ASAT's not worth the extra grand I'd happily give you £395 for it lol
You can have the bass for 390 if you want, just as soon as I'm dead, you are welcome to pry it out of my hands.

Edit. Please no one kill me.

  5. I'd be interested to see how my custom shop USA ASAT stacked against a Tribby, If its the same pickups, neck and electronics then apart from the colour and matching headstock then it's probably not worth the extra grand on top.

  6. Hmm,

My two cents, if you can play along with a metronome in time, then bully for you, choose to practice with one or not. If you can't play along with one in time (like me) then your timing is out, practice with one till you can.

  7. Any interest in my Aria Pro 11 bass?

I can provide pictures if needed, but it's the same colour as the IGB 40 in this link:

    http://www.guitars.co.uk/acatalog/IGB__Integra__Series.html

But is actually the igb-65 model.

It's in pretty much perfect condition, I've worn the paint off one of the screws that attaches the pickups (used as a thumb rest), but thats about it.

Selling only because I have a strict two bass rule and fancy looking at something new

  8. I have the Ibanez one and it’s really rather good: It’s very well made; can carry two basses easily on my back; lots of handles for holding in tight positions on the tube. Also, it stands up by itself; has lots of pockets and padding; and has very strong stitching.

    One Negative point:
I walked a good 30 minutes in pouring rain with it on my back, since it sits so high above your head I couldn't cover it with an umbrella and the zips aren’t covered. For that reason I wouldn’t trust the bass inside to remain completely dry. They weren’t wet when I checked, but were moist. I on the other hand was completely wet through.

  9.
I have a friend that works leather if anybody is interested in a custom made strap.
Oh I was looking at getting a leather strap, but the custom made type things all need importing. So yeah, details.
