1.
I have a laquer crack in the neck pocket of my Zon too, and when I bought it 4 years ago(its a 2002 model), I was told that it had been there since new, and all Zons had them, or got them in time!

Maybe bolt on necks - I've had two set neck Zons and neither had anything like this. Could be about bolt tension or something.

  2.
With my favourite basses being in a few recent threads, I was wondering just how many Statii there are out there on BC at the moment?

What attracts you to your particular choice of Status in terms of sound, playability & quality, etc?
I'm surprised to see that I was the first to add a KB mark II to the voter list. It's actually parked in my brothers studio waiting for me to collect, but it is still MINE. I've had a KB Artist and a Standard and am hoping that the mark II body shape works better for me (my mark II is a headless). I've also had an empathy, which was probably the nicest Status I've owned (rosewood headed - just amazing).

Now I want to add a fretless Status, preferably a Streamline.

  3.
Has anyone had much experience of headless singlecut basses?

I know Sei make a model like this and I would imagine that the extra mass and rigidity would make up for the lack of mass that a headstock would bring, but I've never had a chance to try one.
You should also check out the Status Streamline for an extreme headless 'singlecut'. I am not 100% sure why the design is singlecut like, but I imagine is largely for ergonomics (gives you a strap connection further away from the tiny body without the crazy boomerang rig like the Steinberger).

  4.
sunday bump! 543 views so far and not much love :)
Probably a lack of local interest only - not being willing to post may be hurting your market. I've received and shipped basses without hardb cases, and it's not as tough as it may seem. The last one came in a plywood box full of packing foam.

  5. Man it's annoying when people totally delete past posts. Just leave the details so we have the history of pricing and availability and just add sold to the title! Why wipe out all evidence that the listing ever existed?!?

  6.
What am I thinking. For the money, This bass p*sses all over other basses. Its staying with me. MODS PLEASE DELETE
I guess this means our deal is off - thanks for letting me know - good thing I didn't buy replacement pickups today...

  8.
PS. you pay 350 and leave the pups with me. pickup a set of BArts 2nd hand for 80 quid and there you go. A cracker for 430 pounds....
If only I had the electronics skills to pull it off! I've rewired the house and apparently did it wrong, and that was my last attempt at mucking around with wires...

  9. Why were the Barts removed? Why remove some high end pups to put in the Wizards? I'm interested in the bass, but would be more interested with the Barts, especially since the Wizards are described as being very retro sounding, but I am not personally familiar with them
