Exactly the same as mine, really great jazz and one of the nicest playing ones I’ve got, GLWYS

Thanks man 🙂 It is a great player. I played it again last week for the first time in a long time and almost withdrew it from sale! I know however it would only get a little love then go back into its' case for another 4 years, so probably better in the hands of someone who'll actually play it!

  2. Dec 23 - More price reductions on the last 3 pedals

Sept 23 - Price reductions to clear!

Having a pedal purge to make room for more pedals! 🤪

All pedals tested (today 11/6/23) and working on both mains and battery (where applicable).

No boxes for any of the effects as they were all sadly destroyed when my garage flooded last year! (for clarity, the pedals weren't in the boxes at the time 😆! The boxes were in storage, the pedals were indoors 🤘)

All prices are inc postage via Royal Mail.

    Boss RC-3 Looper pedal. VGC. - £100.00 now £60.00

TC Electronic Flashback delay & looper - VGC - The loaded toneprint is the Tal Wilkenfield delay - £80.00 now £50.00

    Thanks for looking 🙂

  3.

Have adopted a new approach on my pedalboard so now selling my QMX-8 loop switcher. Includes the fitting kit to attach to a PedalTrain style pedalboard. I had this on an old PedalTrain 1 and it fitted brilliantly. Pic below for reference only - just the QMX is included in this sale!!

    image.thumb.png.ef82b0a3c6cbb6dc01b1aadab6b66931.png

Has some adhesive residue on the front panel from where I had Dymo labels attached, but I'm sure would clean off with suitable solvent, etc. Powered by std 9v supply from your pedalboard PSU or similar.

These currently retailing at £279.00 from thegigrig.com

Asking £150.00 delivered in the UK

Details below from the manufacturers website:

Simple loop switching for your pedals

    Great for compact pedalboards

High-quality true bypass strip loop control for your effects pedals. Compact easy switching solution to keep your tone intact.

    TheGigRig QMX has all the same great features as the standard QuarterMaster including;

Uses TheGigRig 'True Bypass' relay technology keeping your tone perfectly intact and your switching quiet.

Tough aluminum enclosure and small footprint will keep your pedalboard light and compact

Uses the new GigRig 'OptoKick' Optical Foot switch which we believe is the most reliable foot switch in the world.

PLUS, the QMX has a very clever ace up its sleeve…

Each loop has a push button next to the loop return that gives you the option to turn a standard loop into a flip/flop loop. Instantly switch between any selected loops while adding other loops on top. Its great if there are effects on your board that you never stack like multiple delays, or drive units.

By using the QMX returns as instrument inputs you can easily and quietly switch between your favourite guitars

    QMX8 - 9v/400mA / 54cm x 4cm x 5.8cm / 21.26in x 1.57in x 2.28in / 0.80kg / 1.8lbs

Also, check out my other listing in Accessories for all the patch cables that I had on this unit.

    Thanks for looking 🙂

*Update 21/06/23 - Previously advertised as Evidence Audio but my mistake, they're actually Diago cables. Apologies. Description and price altered to reflect.

*Update 17/12/23 - Price drop to £60 delivered to the UK

I've stripped down my old pedalboard and have a load of Lava Cables - premade and uncut - and a set of Diago cables that need to go.

LAVA - 13 pre cut cables in various lengths (ruler for ref) plus 6 more unused jacks (32 jacks total) and loads of unused cable + stripping tool. Essentially around 2 std Lava Cable kits plus extra jacks. Not all tested but can be easily reset if joint turns out to be 'iffy'. The kits retail at £63 (10 plugs + cable) and the extra plugs retail around £5 each so this is approx £200 - 250 of Lava Cables.

*Diago Patch Factory - 3 short pre cut cables (not tested) + 2 more unused plugs + remainder of the cable + stripping tool (PF01 kit retailing at £69.99 from Hot Rox UK)

Asking £90 £60 all in posted to UK

    Thanks for looking 🙂

  6. I've been using the Aggy Tonehammer DI for several years and cant fault it for quality toneshaping, plus it has the AGS circuit (although the gain jump when you engage it is, for me, not great). I play in similar genre bands to you and it seems to fit that niche well (using active 5 string, p bass, Fender Jazz and fretless). £263 from GAK currently and in stock!

  7. Just rounding out the journey - here's the Noble on my board. It's early days but I have to say I'm really happy I ordered one. The IEM sound is the best I've ever had and, running into the FX return on my AG700, my amp sound is awesome (to my ears anyway) through my Barefaced cab/s!

    Bring on the festivals!!

Have a good summer all 🙂

  8. So, my update to this is that I've pulled the trigger and joined the wait list 🙂. Communication with Jack has been fantastic (only the third time a business has wanted to know about me, what I'm using currently and how I'm intending to use the product - first 2 we're Roger Sadowsky and Alex at Barefaced)!

Hopefully it'll be here late May 23 - can't wait!

  9. Hi All

I'm just about to pull the trigger and join the 36 week wait list for a Noble DI, but can't find out any info on the additional costs for Import Duty and VAT to the UK. Have any of you lovely peeps been there and done that? If so, how much did you have to give Rishi for the privilege? Thanks in advance.

  11. Hi All

600 denier polyester Racketex outer fabric.

    Bargains!

  12. Hi all

    Price Update 11/06/23 - Reduced to £1000 - won't be going cheaper!

*Would consider trade + cash against a DB751

More of the herd goes to the cull because it's just not getting played!

This time, it's my 2004 USA Fender Artist Series Jaco Fretless. Bought from Andy Baxter when he was still in London but it needed a lot of love!

Replaced the pickups with std Lindy Fralins.

Replaced the tuners with Hipshot Lightweight Tuners because of the huge neck dive!

Had the fingerboard refinished and flattened by Martin Petersen at The Bass Gallery in London because it had a huge ramp at the body end of the neck (a std Fender trait!). At the same time I had Martin put MoP dots in the std position because the clay dots on the fret lines are impossible to see on a dark stage! Also had the bridge replaced with a hi-mass fender bridge. All set up by Martin.

In the interests of full disclosure, it could do with a new nut. A previous owner cut the nut very low so the G string is very close to the fingerboard at the nut end. Not a problem for me as I play with a light touch (hence not getting Martin to sort that too) but a heavier handed player might find it too low.

The bass had had the pick guard, the bridge cover and the pick-up cover fitted by a previous owner so the lacquer under the pick guard has the usual holes (can get pics if wanted).

However, the bridge cover no longer fits over the new hi-mass bridge.

Included are all the original parts (bridge & pickup cover, original Fender BBOT bridge, reverse tuners, pick-ups plus all screws) etc to return to original, should you want to. It comes with the original Fender G&G hard case and it even comes with original US made leather thin strap!

Currently strung with Chromes flatwounds 45 - 100's with tons of life.

Weight is 4.2kg and it's really well balanced with the lightweight tuners on.

I'm asking £1,250 £1,000 for this bass, which I think is a bargain, all things considered! (a new one, if you can find one, is £2,549 list).

Cash on collection or PayPal is fine.

Not keen to use a delivery service as they're crap on the whole, but it looks like a fully insured estimated for this is around £90 (with DPD).

    Only selling within the UK.

Not looking for any other trades*.

    Thanks for looking.

  13. Hi All

    Price Update 11/6/23 - Reduced to £900

*Would also consider part trade against a DB751 + cash

Thinning the herd! Sad to part with it but I just don't play it anymore so someone else should benefit. It's literally sat in its' case since 2019!

For sale is my Fender US Std Jazz from 2014. I bought it new from GAK in Brighton. Comes with the original case, plus all the candy.

I fitted a set of Aguilar AG 4J - HC pickups (currently £200 ish) but include the original Custom Shop pickups in case you want to swap back.

It also has LOXX strap locks fitted (plus the fitting tool) but I've mislaid the original ones.

The neck has been wire wooled down and is very smooth now under the hand (the original finish was quite 'grabby'). It has one major 'bump', as shown in the pictures, on the top edge of the bass. Another guitar fell on it at a gig! Other that that, there's very minor wear.

It's a great honest bass, sounds fab and not too heavy at 4.2KG.

I'm asking £1000 £900 collected from Tunbridge Wells, Kent where the bass can be played before you buy. Delivery will have to be discussed, as it seems almost impossible to get a carrier to insure a guitar now and I'll not send unless it's fully insured.

Happy for the buyer to arrange their own collection, but entirely at their own risk!

Cash on collection or PayPal please.

Not looking for any other trades*, thanks.

    Thanks for looking.

  14. Hi all

Having a clear-out as there are a few things I'm GASing for!

    MarkBass CMD121P - 2017 - Indonesian made

I bought this new in 2018 and it was my gigging amp for a couple of years but replaced it with Aguilar & Barefaced in 2020 and so it's been my backup on the shelf ever since!

    MarkBass Tech Specs: https://www.markbass.it/product/mini-cmd-121p/

It all works as it should but I have bypassed the tweeter (I think it makes it sound better). It's a dead easy fix back to std, and I've even labelled the wires so you can't go wrong! Happy to reinstate to original if you'd rather not have the hassle! There's a thread on BC from 2009 that discusses the mod here:

But I think it's better this way!

Looking for £350 collected (you can try it first) or £400 fully insured (I'll only send fully insured, as have lost out in the past - currently DPD looking like the most reliable option here). Alternatively, you can sort your own carrier to collect and then you're free to do as you please 🙂

    Only selling within the UK.

Not looking for any trades, thanks.

Cash on collection or PayPal is great but no 'gift' payments please.

Any questions please feel free to ask & thanks for looking 🙂
