  1. I have the chance to join an originals band which has some really nice material, due to the current and upcoming restrictions we are not going to be able to get together for a while, with that said can any one recommend me an easy to use daw( i do not even know what it is bar a quick google!)

It would have to be idiot proof(me)

    Basic (like me)

    Cheap ( like me)

    Any help really really appreciated.😄

An organisation/business could rehearse indoors, so long as a risk assessment is done by the organisation/business which encompasses all relevant covid guidelines, eg socially distanced, reducing/eliminating touch points, etc etc, in line with "stage 4" of the master plan for performing arts/theatre/music etc. I'd link to it, but I have a funny feeling it will be irrelevant in a few hours....

To put it another way, a band rehearsal by an organised group was recognised as distinct from a social meeting.

Oh that's good news, not sure a lot of pub groups could call themselves an organisation or a business. Mine is the least  organised thing ever!😅

  3. Need to get a bit slappy with my new band and wondered if my plethora of Precision basses are not the tool for the job.

These are options I have come up with

    A.  Sub 4 sterling

    B. Harley Benton

    C. Make a precision bass out of the lumps of wood and spares I have laying around. and stick a mm pup in.(cheapest option but will it sound right?)

    Thanks for any input whatsoever

I'm not sure if we were breaking the rules, there were just three of us and the marquee is massive, its much larger than it looks in the photo, the side was open and we were all standing at least five metres apart.

To be honest, I felt safer in the marquee rehearsing than I do when doing essential shopping in Sainsbury's or Tesco's where a lot of people don't practise social distancing 🙁

To be fair the difference between passing someone in Asda for 30 seconds or standing next to someone with a guitar for a 3 hour practise is a bit different. I agree though your set up looks great. 2 households in doors only. That's the killer for studios. Who should be checking really.
