    Thanks, I'll look into that. We're trying not to spend to much on setting up, but it makes life so much easier if you've got the right gear! ;-)

    Thanks, I've got a peavy wedge foldback that I used to take with me to open mics, but it weighs a ton.

    Thanks guys! We're still at the open mic level (apart from the occasional foray into singer songwriter feature nights). We're hoping to ramp it up a bit over the next year or two. We're a bit old for dreams of fame and fortune, but there's still a lot of fun to be had. :-)

    Hi there, I'm a beginner bass player in a duo. We do all originals. We're based in Bristol, UK. I have a fabulous 5 String Bass Collection Bass, a Santa Ana 4 String Acoustic and a generic 4 String Electric. I find the acoustic frustratingly quiet. I'm going to have to try using a pick with it.
