Owned from new, purchased from David at cotswold bass guitars approx 6 months ago, hardly used as this was my foray into 5 string playing. I had it re strung by John Shuker last month from low E to top C and set up with a new nut being fitted to accommodate the new stringing plus new strings. The original nut B to E is included if you ever wished to revert back to the standard 5 stringing. Bass is mint not a mark on it nice and light with superb low action Reluctant sale but it needs to be played as I am sticking to my Overwater 4 string jazz Based in West Midlands. The 5 piece neck is made of Maple and Wenge with a 2 way truss rod plus carbon fibre reinforcement and faced with a Ziricote fingerboard with 24 stainless steel medium frets. Delano J5 pickups are linked to an Aguilar OBP-1 preamp with active/passive functionality. As you would expect from a Shuker bass, it is beautifully set up with a low action and plays and sounds superb. The bass is supplied in a Shuker hard case. Regrettable sale of my overwater custom jazz bass 4. Mint condition not a mark anywhere just been set up with new strings, superb low action. Very high spec from overwater custom option list. Looking at current prices to spec this today would be close to £3000 Only ever played at home Specs as below Located in West Midlands Swamp Ash body with Flamed Maple solid top facing and ’three tone sunburst’ finish, Birdseye Maple neck Ebony fingerboard ‘Noiseless J4’ pickups and a East ‘J Retro’ 3 band active EQ and Hipshot ‘B Style’ bridge and ‘Ultralite’ machine heads.

A Jon Shuker Jazz bass hand made in England in 2005 in immaculate condition. Specs are 34" 20 medium fret maple neck/board with a two way truss rod and carbon fibre reinforcement, bone nut, and black blocks and markers. Tuners and bridge are gotoh, pups are Lowinder with villex passive control system. The body is swamp ash with a gloss finish (neck has a poly lacquer finish). Complete with a Shuker branded Hiscox.
