  1. [quote name='butlerk02' post='799624' date='Apr 8 2010, 11:14 AM']Well done J.

I'm friends with Vicky, the backing vocalist in the band.

I'll probably see you in Aprils Bar at some point.

    Cheers

    Nice one Keith..

    Thanks fella's :)

  2. Well,

Having done my bit at an audition last night, I am now Selfish*Lovers new Bass Player. I am still playing bass in our Genesis Tribute Band but needed something to keep me occupied between our average 2 gigs a month.

They are an originals band from Warrington and seem to be doing very well if you google them.. They are more of a POP / INDIE influenced band so it's a change for myself other than heading in the direction of another covers band.

A Big thanks to Basschatter = Funkgod for borrowing me his SWR head as I sold my head a few days ago.

Feel free to have a listen.

The Yamaha BBT 500H bass amp delivers five hundred punchy class-D watts into two Yamaha cabs, yet it weighs only ten and a half anti-gravity pounds.

Add to that a noise gate, parallel effects loop, Speaker simulator, MIDI capability, variable crossover, headphone and tuner outs, and more, and you've got one heavy package – figuratively speaking.

These 210 cabs can sure move some air..Lol.

A friend introduced me to a few SWR Rigs, What can i say = Going Large again.

    Justin.

  6. I have used this rig for a number of weeks as i had a small hatchback.

[b]I now have a huge Volvo Estate so going for a Bigger Rig, The Head and cabs have been purchased from Basschaters and are in excellent "As New" condition.

Rig comes complete with the following =

    1 x YAMAHA BBT500H AMP

    2 x YAMAHA BBT210 CABS (4ohm) WITH VARIABLE TWEETERS

1 x SET OF RACK EARS FOR RACK MOUNTING THE HEAD

    Looking for (AMP HAS SOLD)!!!

Cabs still availible = £145 each.

Intrested in trades with SWR / Trace Amp or Cabs etc

The Badges off the cab grills have been removed as i have been using this rig stacked verticle like a TC rig.. Also has rubber feet added to one of the cabs to give it a good base save it wobbling on the handle?

    J:)

Will load pics when i get a min..

  7. Hi,

Just digging out my parts ready to assemble a custom build.

I have a few options as to what Preamp i will use but can someone give me a heads up on the Pickup wiring please.

From what i can recall the Bartolini soapbars i have use a 4 core screaned flex consisting of =

    Black
    White
    Green
    Red

Most internet searches have come up with later pickups using a different flex, Any help on these ones would be great.

    Justin. :)

  8. Thats just what i thought and it's also what made me buy it :) Just a gamble but it seems ok. Rehearsal tomorrow so only time will tell.

I have re-strung it, Action is very low and i am just getting a touch of fret buzz at the 2nd fret. Truss rod may need a tweek as its a little too straight?

It was missing a collar off the tunning peg, I looked into my bag of bit's and well there it was. One collar and a nice tight fit, Tuning pegs are very smooth but a little slack.

    J.

  9. Just picked this up = Plays & Feels great, Any info would be aprechiated,

Checked previous threads etc, seen a similar 6 string Guitar, Only poor finish on the bass is its nech plate, Its well on the Pi$$. All looks original though, No chewed screw heads etc and its full of battle scars. Bridge is rotten but i aint gona clean it. I also have the Bridge & Pickup covers.

    Thanks

    J :) =
