  1. Very cool pedal that I just don’t use. Octaver and synth filters are top notch. Power supplied. Boxed. Offers
  2. This post cannot be displayed because it is in a forum which requires at least 1 post to view.
  3. I am! I can multitask! Like watching tv, listening to music AND reading a book!
  4. ONLY played this beauty 2 or 3 times and then put it away. Now lives in a hard case under the bed. EMG SSD pickups, Tonepump Jr, bolt on neck, cherry gloss finish. Will consider including hard case. This bass has some real cohones and cuts through the worst noise that your bandmates might make!
  5. This is great! Thanks! This is what I was looking for! Much appreciated.
  6. My band doesn't charge more. This is what I am trying to establish. Is this normal or are we getting ripped off?
  7. Okay, I am trying to get a consensus on this. More than once, my band has turned up to play a gig at a pub or a club only to discover that there's also a party booked. My feeling is that my band would generally charge more for a party/event than for a standard pub gig, but my bandmates also feel like it makes no difference what's going on at the venue; we're paid to play the gig. So what's the general feeling on this? I feel like the venue is taking advantage and getting a band on the cheap.
  8. I have too many amps. I installed new tubes and it works perfectly. Comes with (somewhat ratty) Orange cover. Would prefer collection but will post for additional cost.
  9. Tech 21 GED-2112 Sansamp almost new, barely used. Very cool piece of kit, but way too much sophistication for my pub band needs. Trying to streamline my rig and the Sansamp is just sitting in its rack box gathering dust. And that ain't right! So I hope someone else can give it a better home. The price is £280. Geddy Lee (Rush) signature model Two separate, completely analogue preamps: deep and drive Blend control Semi-parametric 3-band EQ (170 Hz to 3.0 kHz cut/ boost 12 dB) with Geddy Lee's preferred voicing Balanced and unbalanced outputs separately for both preamps Tuner output Effects loop Back inputs A and B with -20 dB input pad and A/B switch on the front panel
  10. Possibly but I work in central London and perhaps we could meet up? Where are you? I am in Golden Square.
  11. Great amp with all the Tone Print benefits. Has been gigged regularly but very well looked after. Never had any problems with it. Kept in box when not used. Will be sad to see it go, but I have other requirements now. Comes with 3-way foot switch.
  12. I have to disagree with this for two reasons. One, because I disagree (lol); CS is all over the Rabin albums just playing in a different style. And two, Chris was very happy to have 'easier' parts to play or perhaps to write in a simpler fashion. And I guarantee, had Chris wanted more room in the songs, it would have been accomodated as it was still his band.
  13. Fantastic! I get it! Will have a look at that this weekend! Thank you!
  14. Can you explain the muting foam a little further? I don't understand this. I have not taken the bass apart, so this is unclear to me.
  15. Faheyhee! I will be very interested in seeing your bezel! But I just want to be friends.
  16. Yeah, I saw those bezels and am thinking about it. How the hell did Geddy do it?!
  17. Well, in response to the Basschat FB page, I will relate the story of my newest family member - a 2005 Fireglo Rickenbacker 4003. I asked for your opinions some months ago about whether it was worth trading my Spector in for a nice Ricky. Almost unanimously the members of this group said no, and I am glad you did! The Spector is the best bass I have ever played, but I still felt the pull of a Ricky. As a lifelong Rush and Yes fan, I just had to get one. So, I finally took the plunage got the 4003. Well, for those who know, none of this will be a surprise, but for those who don't, here's my review. It looks great and it sounds great, but my Ged, it's a pig to play. I still haven't tamed it. Not quite sure how to get comfortable with it. I have tried it slung low and now have it up high, which is a bit better. But I am a fingers player and found it ridiculously unfriendly on the right hand, so I am learning to play it with a pick. This is a whole new technique to get my head around. Any advice on how to get the best from a Ricky, I am all ears! I do feel I have to add that I love it anyway! I will overcome this plank! PS. Anyone who mentions the shed, dies!
  18. Hey there! I have a Spector EuroLX4 and I love it, but I have always wanted a Rickenbacker (pref a 4001). I think they're great looking and all my favourite players have used them as their primary instrument. My question is, overall, which is the better bass?
