I’ve done 2 outdoor gigs so far, one being very sunny and didn’t have an issue.

Just to try and answer a few points in the thread. MIDI is not that useful on anagram at the moment. You can change banks but that’s about it so at the moment you have to use the 3 switches for scenes or stomps which is limiting. They also mentioned MIDI is not the first firmware update coming so we may still be in for a bit of a wait for proper midi functionality. ( I’ve got the Darkglass midi controller so hopefully that is easy to set up when the time comes). the SVT thing, which I think I mentioned, is clean but I think I’m confused around why this is so surprising? 300W SVTs (at least the two I’ve had) don’t break up on their own without monumental volumes so I don’t find it that surprising that the model wouldn’t have a drive section. I am absolutely not suggesting I’m correct or anything here just trying to be as clear as possible for people who are wondering about the pedal. and in term of captures, yes they reproduce amp break up very well but are still a snapshot of that tone. They reproduce break up extremely well if you have captured your gear set to break up. The machine learning is learning how the amp or pedal reacts to different signals in its current state rather than making approximations about how the gear might react if you change settings. if anyone wants anything in particular checked out on the anagram do let me know and I’ll try and help out. current set up for anyone interested

I hope it’s not going that way… just bass gear innit. But there is always gunna be crossed wires when a million people put out a video and we have models, captures, NAM (which are called models but are really what QC would call captures) and neural has nowt to do with NAM despite having the same name. aye that Peggy to me sounds like it’s modelling the pre of a proper SVT which you would have to work hard to make drive. I would always use something else with it to drive it. On the bright side it sounds excellent and half regretting not making my gigging presets with it.

The Peggy is a model. I personally wouldn’t expect breakup from a capture that didn’t have any break up when it was captured. I can go and push the Ampeg model now though and see what it does

Are we talking about a capture here or the Peggy (that’s what Darkglass call the Ampeg) model? I can just go and try this now if it’s the model and let you know

The QC is good at adding a little more/less gain to captures (did this for guitar rather than bass but same rules I suppose) haven’t tried it with these NAM in the anagram as they come with 3 distortion levels to pick from as you’d expect so little need. Although I don’t think you’d get good results anywhere taking a clean capture and trying to gain it up to distortion

To be fair it takes some beans to distort a 300W SVT on its own

Captures are a still image of how the gear was set at the time. If you wanted a capture to be distorted you’d be best capturing it in that state. Most captures come with multiple versions which are the gear in different states. the drives sound great in the anagram though I’d just use the SVT model and drive it with pedal models/NAM captures.

I’ve gigged it for a couple of weeks now on its own. It’s excellent. Even in its current form, although I do wish midi functionality had been sorted at launch. I much prefer the interface and sounds (for bass) compared to QC and stomp…. Like I’ve said before I’m absolutely aware you can dial in great sounds for both as I’ve had both but I just don’t want to sit and tinker. I’m going to dive into the NAM side of things next and see how that goes as the ones that are in the anagram as standard sound very good
  10. Excellent condition, working perfectly and includes the extra switched which are a necessity for most with these. it includes a few presets you may want to keep including Ian Allison synth pack. it does not have the awful power supply included as that died a long time ago.

It doesn’t have that thing where you load up a block and wonder what on earth they were thinking… if that makes sense.

Ok so first thoughts, much easier to get really good sounds for bass than the HX or QC… not suggesting you couldn’t get things to sound as good if you really dialled it in. The typical sticking points such as filters and octaves are honestly great… I’m taking my octave off the board for the first time. I’m not a heavy/typical DG user (last DG thing I had was a vintage microbes) and very much like the sound of the Noble, fender and Ampeg sounds in here. I will concede putting a vintage microtubes as a light drive and using the A/O or X as a ridiculous OOT drive is very fun. The crunch factory preset where they have used a pedal from the NAM loader is very promising and need to look into these more. Ive just scratched the surface here but this is the best first impression I’ve had of a modeller…. I’ll report bag after a few gigs this week.

Yea I’d have guessed the case would be an optional extra but it’s nice to have. Especially since this may be the first unit I could see not needing other pedals with therefore not need an actual board

Looks/sounds great. Nice to hear octaves/filters from a multi fx that sound good. May try this in place of the stomp
  16. I wouldn’t be the one to give you expert analysis but it’s just a sound better box to be honest. Based on Neve 1073 so as if your bass signal was going into a nice channel strip in a studio. You can decide how much saturation you get by changing gain and compensation with level. This will not work as an eq It does have an amp out which you could use to continue your signal and have the option of the xlr out. As well.
  17. This is now sale only. These are class but I’ve moved to something else. Still has its box and that of course. any trade offers or questions feel free to get in touch.
  18. Someone else asked this and should have updated but it’s 7.5lbs (not done with the most accurate scales but it’s very light)
  19. Only really looking for trades on a fendery type object. 32" scale bass with Delano pickups, all passive. Low B works well surprisingly and happy to send over a clip of that if anyone is worried about it. Lightweight too and that coupled with the scale length make it a very comfortable option for the long gigs. nice satin type finish all over this thing but clearly wears down a bit as you can see on the back. Any other info just ping me a message and I'll be happy to help. In terms of what Im after I could be interested in most fender shaped things. Will sell this for £750 if that’s better for anyone
  20. Working perfectly and no marks. I’m sure you don’t need a rundown of how class these are but any questions do feel free to ask. comes with a protective case, box, original power…. All the good stuff. I’m moving to an Hx stomp so if you happen to want to part ex one of those, an origin cali 76 or OC2 style octave then shoot me a message. cheers!

  21. Colour stripped, bridge changed to more vintage one and electronics upgraded. Only the bridge done by me (not done myself done by a tech)
  22. Aye that’s why I got it haha. I really dislike the vibe of the Nate but the necks are lovely. This kind of sorted that problem
