Scale is 35 inches, I'd say the B sings pretty well equal to the other strings. I've been running the bass in passive mode and the B works well also.

Up for sale is my Shuker Jazz 5 Sting. I bought this a few months back from Hamster. Sadly, as nice as this bass is, I need to sell it simply because I need the cash…. so no trades please.

This is the J Elite model, top of the range with a seven piece bolt on neck.

This instrument plays and sounds as you would expect a premium custom instrument to.

It has 24 frets, weighs around 3.75kg on my inaccurate bathroom scales, but I consider it nice and light for a 5 string.

String spacing at the nut between strings is: 10.5mm
String spacing at the bridge between strings: 18.5mm
Scale length is 35 inches

The Body is Ash with a flame maple top, Rosewood board, maple neck with Wenge laminates (I think?)

Bartolini Pickups, and a East J Retro Deluxe active/ Passive circuit.

Stings are used but have plenty of life left in them

Condition is good, apart from a small ding the size of a match head on the upper edge (see pic) apart from that just few minor scratches to the rear of the body and some scuffs at the tip of the head stock all can be buffed out easily.
Neck p-up cover has some string marks on it.

I reckon you could find something like an old Peavey TNT, Laney, OHM, Carlsbro - they might be old, bulky even a bit smelly! But sound ok, the electronics etc are pretty easy to maintain in these amps too.

I was so sad to hear about the recent passing of British bass legend Mick Karn, my thoughts are with his family and friends. His fretless bass playing has inspired me as much as Jaco.

I regret not seeing Mick Karn live, I was going to see him at a gig in Manchester about 6 years ago. Sadly the tour was cancelled.

Over the last few days i've been listening to all things Karn which inspired me to transcribe a few of his bass riffs!

Mick was an inspiration to many. He played the fretless bass in such a unique way, incomparable to the great Jaco Pastorius. He will be sadly missed. RIP Mick Karn.

Check the scale length Harvey - looks more like a 30inch scale the way the bridge is set 1/3 way in to the body.

You have attracted a lot of attention with this post... I think most of us here are courious as to arrived at your asking price. I've got a 34 scale Jaydee series 2 strung as a piccolo.............Does that mean I can sell it for about £5000?!

And me too.........I owned the bass before bassbunny. It was just the stock bass when I had it. Nice player - I bet its really good now with the Bart installed. Good luck with the sale.

Sounds great is my local music shop, I have been going in there for over 20 years, spent a fortune........F*** em! I've stopped going in there now. I find the staff a bit abrupt and miserable as sin. I now go to PMT in Salford, Friendly staff and better deals.

I've got a fretless 4 Ashbury Acoustic bass. Its a really good bass for the money Zebrano back and sides. The preamp isnt bad either. I changed the pick-up for a fishman.......makes all the difference,

It's a bargain! Good look with the sale.
