  1. Some time ago I used the other parts of this bass for a project which I sold. I always wanted to start a Nate Mendell P-bass with the body, but it´s not going to happen.

It´s a genuine Fender Japan item, the neck serial dates it to 1994/1995.

It has some wear on the edges, looks like a Nate Mendell Bass only the wear is not fake but real from years of playing.

Original condition, no extra holes. The weight is only 2,2kg.

    GBP 180 / EUR 200,- plus shipping.

  2. The US-made MM Sub was based on the idea to make a cheaper version of the classic Stingray bass. They used poplar for the body, a material they already used for some of their basses from the 90s on. All necks were painted black, and the finish for the body was matte so there was no need for polishing.

The important thing is, the pickup and electronics are the same as they used on the regular Stingray, so the sound is basically the same.

I bought this bass as a backup for my 70s Stingray, but I´m only into Precisions at the moment so I don´t need 2 Stings.

The sound of the Sub is very close to my vintage Sting, so you get a lot of bass for your money. Exactly that seemed to be the problem for Music Man, there were rumors they lost money on every SUb so they stopped making them and started producing budget models in asia.

The condition of the bass is fine, there are only a few signs of wear. The frets are in good condition, the polepices on the PU are a bit rusty.

I switched the ugly aluminum pickguard for a genuine black MM pickguard, the metal one will be included in this sale.

Shipping is possible, pickup in Berlin very welcome.

  3. I´m selling my 82 Precision natural bass.

Compared to the 77 and 79 Fender Precisions I had, the quality of manufacturing is a lot better on this one. It seems that Fender had returned to higher standards after the not so good late 70s. The neck sits very tight in the neck pocket.

The bass is 100% genuine and unmolested. The condition is very good, the natural finish on the ash body is almost perfect, there are no deep scratches or dings and dongs, the strong wood pattern is beautiful. The dark spot were the right arm rests is part of the wood grain.

The finish on the neck is rather thin compared to the thick poly on the body. There are some spots where the finish is worn off on the back of the neck, so the bass has been played regularly. The frets are in very good condition, the trussrod works fine.

By 1980 or 1981 they dropped the idea of ashtrays and finger rest, so there are no extra holes on the body.

The pickup is still the grey bobbin one they used in the 70s, so the bass has the classic fat Fender P tone. Compared to my 73 Precision, the 82 sounds almost the same.

It weighs 4,3 kg which is rather light for an ash body Precision.

The price is EUR 1.500,- or the equivalent in GBP. Todays exchange rate makes it about GBP 1290.

I´m located in Berlin, Germany. Pickup is very welcome, shipping is possible to the expense of the buyer.

  4. I´m selling my 62 JV Precision, made in 1983 in Japan.

It has the rare black finish and rosewood neck wich I prefer to the 57 maple version, as the neck has as nicer profile. The trussrod works fine.

It´s all original except the white pickguard, which is an original Fender part. The tortoise PG has a crack and is bent, but I will include it in this sale.

The bass is a lightweight, it´s 4,0kg. The tone is very nice, fat and rich and typical P, very resonant.

The body has some dings and dongs, the bass has ben played a lot. The frets have a little wear but are still in good condition.

The bridge looks as new, the fomer owner played the bass with a badass bridge without drilling extra holes. The original bridge was in the drawer for years, it´s back on now.

I´m in Berlin, Germany, but shipping is possible. The cheapest and safest way would be shipping with the neck separated to make for a smaller package, but i can ship the whole bass when the buyer pays for the extra cost.

The price is EUR 950 or GBP 790 according to today´s exchange rates. When there will be dramatic changes in currency i will have to adjust the GBP price to the EURO.

    Thanks!

  5. Hi Chris,

thanks for the nice feedback and the smooth deal!

Someone sent me a complete bass in that box, with body and neck separated. So i thought i could get rid of that thing by sending it to you. :)

I didn´t know that when shipping from Germany with DHL it ends up being delivered by Parcelforce in the UK. But I´m glad you have it!

    Best wishes,

    Niels

  6. This is one of the most famous effects units that were made in the 70´s. The Compact Phasing "A" was made in Berlin by Gerhardt Schulte, and this thing has been extensively used by Krautrock bands and electronic musicians not only in Germany: Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Oskar Sala, Jon Lord, Rubycon, J.M. Jarre, Pink Floyd...

It´s possible to use it in a very subtle way, but it´s more interesting when you play with the knobs to get more deep, dramatic and esoteric tones. Also, the huge knobs go to 11, and the "Berlin bear" is featured on the back. :)

This is the rare black version. It´s in very good condition and comes with the original footswitch that is essential. It doesn´t bypass the effect, it slows down and stops the modulation, to get Leslie-like brake sounds as you can start and stop the LFO with it.

A copy of the original german manual and schematics is included.

    GBP 650 or 850 EURO

The price is plus shipping. I´m in Berlin and can ship worldwide.
