    Hiya. I am looking to source a single low B for a Kramer. I'm concerned that many stock strings will be too short. The distance from bridge to nut is almost 36", but the long headstock means the machine head is another 8" from there. All advice welcomed. I've searched the usual places and come up with too little detail as usual. I will consider full sets, but as this isn't a zillion dollar instrument I'd rather not go for broke.

    Before you get excited, none of these are suitable for bass guitar imo. The pair of 12s are from an old PA. No worthwhile markings but believed to be working. The 10s are of the car subwoofer variety. One is marked Alpine SWS-1040 4 OHM. The other is not marked at all. These are untested. Offers invited, priority given to anyone who collects the lot!
