1.
Beautiful bass there my friend.
I too like dings, the first one is gutting, then after that you can chill.
I did a gig last year where some pissed knobhead knocked into my ACG, whilst on its stand. It started to rock forward but our guitarist was on stage (club floor) fannying around with his board settings (for a change) and caught it before it hit the deck.
That's the only bass out of my collection that doesn't have any marks what so ever.
I bought my Warwick Jazzman brand new - it lasted one gig until it was dinged on the front. The daft guitarist turned his guitar head into the body of the bass. 8 years later and it's still the worst bit of damage on the bass! He was not thanked!

2. Hi All!

I'm selling my MusicMan Stingray 5-string 3EQ bass. As you can see it's a beautiful sunburst finish with a white scratchplate.

Everything on it is as it should be - it was set-up professionally about 20 playing-hours ago.

There are a few minor knocks which I've tried to show on the pictures. In total there are about 6 minor knocks on the body, and one on the neck, each of which is only around half a centimeter. Other than these it's in great condition.

Also included with the bass is a near-new Hiscox flightcase.

I'm looking for £800 (edit - now £750). I'm not really after any trades as I need to scale down my current stock, but if you've got something interesting it may get my gas-bags going!

Thanks for checking it out. Comments are more than welcome.

Cheers,

Stu.

3. It may help if you supply the following:

What operating system you are using (e.g. XP, Vista, OSX 10.5.1 etc)
What browser (IE, Firefox etc etc)
Your setup (home, small network, office network, wireless, public, etc)

That will probably do for a start.

4. Lots of people have far too much money (although given the credit crunch maybe a few less now!).

If I had a few million in the bank this would make a very nice conversation piece. It at least makes a nice change to have letters of authenticity rather than the usual 'belonged to John Entwistle's late mother's pet budgie etc. etc."

5.
There's still no way four 8 ohm speakers can be arranged to give 4 ohms. Two, eight or thirty two ohms, that's your choice.
Actually you can, but it's not really recommended. You simply add a circuit into the 4 ohm selector so that extra resistors are added in parallel. The effect is that you have 8 drivers (4 real and 4 fake), but you lose half your power on the fakes! Also you need decent resistors as most will just burn out.
For anyone planning it - don't do it!

If you check the feedback carefully the negative feedback is from an employee of ebay. His comment is that he shill bid from a linked account. From the comments above it seems he's not afraid of a good hiking of the the price.

He does have a good bit of gear on ebay from time to time though, but it does always seem to go for top dollar! If you want the kit, and you're prepared for him to manipulate the price a bit, then you may get what you want. You may have to sell your house though!

I had a mate do this to a lead guitar I had once. He borrowed it and said he would 'tinker' with it. I nearly wrapped it round his head.
If it had been a bass he would have been never walked the same again!
