    Hey all

That's great thanks. I was actually working my way through some of his videos before, got a new work laptop and lost all the links and forgot the name of the guy/site so that's a huge bonus thank you very much!! Hello study bassers πŸ˜‚

    Hey all

Hi all. Long time beginner hoping to make a proper crack at it. From Pembrokeshire, Wales UK. Been playing on and off for about 7/8 years but really I'm as good as someone who only just seen a bass for the first time today. Start to get into it then something happens and don't pick it up for months etc etc. Hoping to play more regular. Used to be a drummer for all my sins but due to just the inconvenience of space and pure volume they use while playing, especially having moved to smaller property and new baby at the time, I decided to make the jump to bass. Anyways, have these basses ATM. A vintage fake ray that I've completely gothed out, and this HB jazz I've had for a few years. Lovely to play but oh so heavy. I love metal/rock music so tend to try play songs I know using 'songsterr' which is really my only means of learning. Any advice or pointers on things to learn to help me along the way would be greatly received and appreciated. I'm trying to learn with fingers and picking. Not sure if that's ideal or not? Anyways. Thanks again πŸ€™πŸ»πŸ€˜πŸ»
  3. Sorry to hi jack. How do you find the troy sanders bass. It's caught my eye. Looks a beauty
  4. ISO - black tuner pegs 3R1L
  5. That's great thanks. I'm pretty green to it all so my thinking was to just mirror what's already there and solder it the way it was and hope for the best🀞 πŸ˜‚
  6. Yeah we use like plug in irons in work but no temperature setting just heats up and that's that. I will keep in mind what size watt iron il get. Don't need anything mega but if it makes life easier I'm all for it. I seen a video and the guy suggests around 375Β° for soldering to make it easy
  7. Yeah Im sure I've seen pics before and people using shinier and thinner stuff than we use in work (telecommunications). It's like me, quite fat and dull looking πŸ˜‚
  8. After some advice. Hoping to upgrade my pickup shortly and I'm a bit of a faffer so will give it a go myself. In work we use this solder, would that be ok for wiring up a pickup or does it need to be a higher spec or a thinner gauge? Thanks in advance
  9. Does anyone on here print out stickers/decals for the headstocks. Every forum usually has one. Show yourself πŸ˜‚
  10. Nah I can do all that sorta stuff. Shouldn't be an issue
  11. This is it. It's a vintage something or other. Don't know exact model.
  12. Don't suppose you have a link. Thanks
  13. That looks well nice mate fair play. Yeah mine isn't a proper one or I'm sure it would be fine. Mines only a cheap copy. Like that bridge looks tidy but still has the same kind of shape as the OG ones. Thanks for the reply
  14. Anyone got any pictures of stingrays with non-stingray bridges or is it burned at the stake to do this. Looking to upgrade mine (I have a stingray style bass but isn't a sterling sub etc) but I can only find the 'albridge' bridges and they are well out of price range and shipping to UK would be astronomical. Failing that lets see them basses 🀟 Thanks in advance

  16. Hey, searched and couldn't find anything. I have a stingray style bass and looking to upgrade the bridge. Just wondered if anyone's got any pictures of their stingrays with upgraded bridges not the usual style. Not sure if that is sacrilege or not. Only one I can find is the albridge ones but shipping to the UK would be mental money. Thanks in advance
  17. Just come across these. What was the outcome. Is it worth the money over other brands?
  18. Hi mate would you be interested in a deal with a ibanez sr500??
