1. My 210 practice cab is 4 ohm and I want to wire a tweeter into it. How will I go about this - series or parallel, and will it affect the overall impedance? The speakers are wired in parallel.

    Specifically this tweeter: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Module...14&doy=13m8

  2. I used them for about 2 months before some gigs came up and I stuck some new ones on :) Ideal for boiler  £1 for postage. Cheers.

  3.
The only worry I would have is someone who was genuinely very talented and 'perfect' would also have an ego the size of a planet, and would in fact be the most annoying and arrogant person because of how good they KNOW they are.
This is the point when someone goes from being "good" to being "too good"

  4. So, a while ago I bought a load of parts and put them together :)

    MightyMite Jazz bass neck
    Wizard "Thumper" pickup
Passive wiring with CTS pots, switchcraft jack, Orange drop caps (0.1uF total).
    Fender tuning keys
    Gotoh bridge
    Straplocks
    Strings: 50-110 Elites

The body used to be sunburst and was in a bit of a state. Sanded down and after a few extra routes/fills, refinished in satin black (I got bored of shiny finishes )

    Pictures (camera phone atm sorry):

  5. Almost 6 metres blue guitar/mic cable, 6mm diameter. No end connectors, 2 signal wires, 1 shield wire.
Free to anyone or it gets binned.

  6.
Exceeding xmax doesn't bother anything, it just makes for a dirty/compressed tone. Guitar players get their tone by exceeding xmax, and being able to do so in the midrange is why guitar drivers have small xmax values.
Exceeding xlim OTOH has disastrous consequences.
This value is probably what I meant :) the shape of the waveform does not matter.

  7. Shame you've gotta sell it mate, fantastic basses. I've got the same one in tobacco sunburst, no way I'd ever part with it and if I had a spare grand I'd take this off you straight away. Whoever gets this is one lucky beeatch :)
