+1, I found my MM licenced Jazz neck brand new for £50
To be fair to the cellar though, 99.99% of the people in there have no intention of buying, just herds of scruffy kids with no money wanting to try out £1000 basses, I reckon after dunno 5 years of dealing with that day in day out I might put up a sign too.
You're right, all shops should ban browsing FOREVER lmao. Maybe they should rename it "The Buy Something Or Get Out Cellar" :)

  3. Wow, the reply from Orange was really helpful...

The Crush 35B runs at 8 ohms only.

    UPDATE: IS THIS GUY HIGH?

No it does not mute the speaker.
The Crush 35B is a practice amp and does not really have the power required for playing bass with live drums.
You need at least 200 watts for that.

  4.
On a slight tangent does anyone else hate strings with threads?! They look cool but after youve used them once or twice they fray and leave fluff everywhere and look scruffy as hell >=[

Especially true with my flatwounds that I'm always taking on and off when the mood takes me...
I know what you mean, it annoys me no end.

In short - the amp kicks out 35w at 4ohms. The built in speaker is 4ohm. The unknown is if it automatically breaks the link to the internal speaker. If it doesnt, and you hook up a 4ohm extension cab to it, the amp will see 2ohms and become quite unhappy.

What are you trying to achieve by driving an extension cab? As really 35w of bass really isn't going to be too loud whatever speaker you use is it?
Cheers dude.

A mate has a spare 8ohm driver knocking about which I was gona make up into a mini-cabinet, but by the sounds of it the internal speaker will get cut off so there's no point.

Extension cab (usually) = more volume.

  6. 1. I want to wire a piezo tweeter into my practice cab (two 10" woofers in parallel), can I just wire it over one of the speakers and the cab will have the same overall impedance?

    AND

    2. Does anyone know the minimum impedance cab you can connect to the speaker out on the Orange Crush 35B? Does this cut power to the internal speaker?

    Cheers!
