1. I agree, the bass makers sure go much more into plain oiled wooden bodies which looks awesome. Guitar makes just love that darn lacker and paint don't they :D
I was thinking to make a few relic bodies like this and also relic the hardware and then sell it on ebay as a DIY Kit. Will see when I have time for this though ...

2. What went wrong Dad :) ? Ya know, me from another continent, humor wise can be challenging to get it ;)

Here is the sound check; it sounds OK-ish through the Plexi Tone on my Digitech RP70. I will get some better vintage pup in the future maybe Entwistle or else ...

3. This Harley Benton was a Sunburst originally so I decided to scrape all that paint and laminate off and did this;

Slow down guys.

:D To be honest its easy to make such short tunes as mine are. I also do only one take for each instrument and then fix them up with FX and such, hiding the imperfections (lazy as I am). What Dad is doing is more complex indeed

Have fun ya all, we are already all lucky to be able to play and make music, considering how many out there on this planet are being without food let alone without instruments.

5. My December entry called "2 minutes to Apocalypse aka Drink up, the time is up!"

https://soundcloud.c...p-final-version

Long story short; humans destroyed life on Earth with ignorance and greed. There is only 2 minutes left to total apocalypse on Earth and the old bartender is saying "Drink up, the time is up"! Shocked lifeless faces stare at him not fully understanding whats about to happen ...

EDIT; This is my final version for this competition!

6. Thats what I plan to do; buy a cheap Behringer pre amp and plug into my Behringer U-Phoria UM2 interface for practice but I will also need to plug the interface into the usb on laptop. The interface has the Direct Monitoring for plugging in the headphones so yes you can do that.

Personally if it were me I would get something like a Yamaha for that money

Why? According to folks I corresponded to this very one mentioned here is in the Martin class. This is not a beginner guitar, don't be fooled by the price :)

8. We have a meber over at The Harley Benton Club forum and he has the 2 most expensive HB acoustic guitars + the Parlor HB too. Yes he also has the one you are after. After he got them he sold his Martin guitar :D not a joke, he thinks these high end HB acoustics are as good as the Martin he had but for FAR LESS money, you can ask him yourself over at theharleybentonclub.proboards.com
