Comparing this thread to the thread on talkbass with the same title is why I hardly come on here.

ive just re-read this thread and nearly every post has some sort of positive coment and or what i would consider constructive feedback.

for a manufacturer of a new pedal to come on a forum thread and alienate everybody that commented is really bad form Alex.

Are you saying it generates sine, square, saw tooth waves in the way that an FI or C4 does and is not merely a synth emulator? If so, that's definitely news to me!

No thats not what I'm saying. But some people might have took your comment literally to think there are no synth sounds in the helix. When there are!

If You were specifically referring to synth "engine" then i don't think the Boss SY1 can be grouped together with the Future impact and the C4.

  3. So... as part of my nightly youtybe spiral, a video was suggested to me that showed me a clip for the lowest notes sung by a human.

Turns out that even lyying down here in my bed, with no warmup, I can get down to B0

Wtf! I diddnt even know until just now that I could sing bass, nevermind get that low!!!

Bit annoying if you have to fork out another £100+ for a midi pedal to quickly scroll up and down your patch selection though during a live set - or is that something that can be easily done on the pedal itself?

Yeah but if you have more than one SA pedal already, (which most folk do these days it seems) it makes absolute sense to get a hub.

Acess to scenes, and 128 presets shouldn't be underestimated. 6 presets is hugely limiting on a pedal that can do so much.

Any advice on getting patches the same volume? Constantly having to hook up the pedal to adjust patches volume/EQ because they're not balanced in volume or bass etc

Also the volume control on the pedal is painfully sensitive, and the knobs have almost 0 resistance... You move it 1mm and the volume boost/drop is pretty big... Wish the dials had a bit more resistance like say, the Tone Hammer controls.

Theres a mod i did with mine, I removed the knobs and placed 2 o-rings over the shaft covered in talc power.  Then replaced the knob.

Its documented well somwhere on the net, I think it may have been an official mod fro. Panda. And it works well to increase knob resistance.

On a free Waves plugin tip, the excellent RVox is available via this link. It's free, and amazingly there doesn't;t seem to be a catch (apart from signing up to a mailing list).

You have to sign up (I have an email for this kind of thing) and you eventually get the serial link, a process which took a couple of days.

It actually works! Expires on the 15th...RVox is very, very good so the palaver is worth it I think.

worked for me too. thanks again!

  7. waves have another one of those crazy offer periods on using "best2020" at checkout

if you spend more than 99 dollars (£80ish), you can choose 2 extra plugins for free!!!! (list here https://www.waves.com/free-plugins-black-friday-sneak-peeks)

in 2 seperate transactions of just over 100 dollars each, i was able to manipulate 9 very highly desireable, world class plugins out of them. some of which ive wanted for ages!
