Hi , I don't use a template for slotting , but is done on my CNC machine.... The Zero fret replace the nut on a Fender style bass.

@Si600 yes the tuner washer are recessed into the face of the headstock & the tuner shaft replaced by custom made shorter ones ...

After having ripped off the previous color, now you can see the new EVO-FX5 reshaped & with his final color, the wood grain is visible & I like this ...

Learning by doing.... after having applied all the grain filler coats, I wasn’t happy with the balance & weight of the new EVO-FX5 body... Therefore I ripped off everything & have started to reshaped the body ... still a lot of work to be done ...
