Pressure on my time means I'll have to give up gigging with band. Decent opportunity for someone in the Salisbury area. Drop me a pm if you fancy a bass slot with an interesting originals band.
-
We've had two total blackouts already this summer so my expectations aren't overly high. Thanks for letting me know, I'll report back tomorrow.
-
Have a good one, I'm there with The Intercepteurs tomorrow. The organisation is indeed a little loose.

Scottish Hip Hop? Sounds very interesting indeed!

It's damn fine. I've seen it in the flesh and on the telly, they're well worth a listen -
I'm not in pursuit of anything, I just like buying new toys. Unfortunately old toys have to be sold to finance the new.

My soul weeps with the realisation that I can't possibly afford this.

If you're expecting me to be a cheese-smuggling Moonraker prepare to be disappointed, I possess all my thumbs and do not talk like a pirate. -

Moonrakers in the house…if you come from somewhere between the two River Avons you’ll know the myth of the cheese smugglers pretending to be thick in order to fox the taxman (No we waz just tryna get the moon outta the village pond kind gentlemen sir…)…all the bands tonite come from in or around Salisbury, Wilts so expect plenty of strong in the arm thick in the talent ska and indie pop flavours as speraheaded and exemplified tonite by the ever wonderful Intercepteurs..their masterful blend of The Beat, The Specials and a hint of 1960s pop is glorious. -

Excellent gig, well done that man
-
And a mighty fine night it was. There was a dearth of local pro photographers on the night but I'll try and dig out some pictures from other sources and put them up here.

Bingo!

Oddly enough I was talking to someone about Babe Ruth the weekend before last. My weary mind can't quite recall the context though. -
Jenny Haan?

Tonight, still a few tickets left, so if you are in the vicinity...
-
Thankfully you're a long way away, that is massively tempting
-
Going to head down the BB route again myself once I get my selling head on
-
I do love a thread resurrection. Funnily enough I did buy a Std Streamer in the end, as usual I ended up selling it and immediately regretted it. I reckon in 6 months time I'll be ready for another one.

...playing the upright?

Best not, I've not really got going yet - doubt I'd last more than 5 minutes -
Picked up Pete's Barefaced Super 12 on Sunday. Super easy deal, nice to see him again and I'll try and stay for a brew next time.

Kids, eh. Cheers for the comments people. -
Highly improbable but true. We're supporting The Beat at Salisbury City Hall on March 1st. On stage 8:10 - 8:40 so both book and get there early. Tickets available online http://www.cityhallsalisbury.co.uk/
Excited, oh just a little bit. -

Salisbury Ska Band - The Intercepteurs

Rehearsals are variable, the band usually rehearse in the local college rehearsal rooms and sometimes in the guitarists shed. Gigging is regular, something like 30-40 per year, they're looking for more gigs outside of Salisbury- which is partly why I am leaving.
