Hi, I have this bass "Shine Bass SB14" should I replace the pickups I currently have flatwounds on it and I have no idea if changing the pick ups would make a big difference to the sound(has the standard ones on currently) my budget for pickups would be about £40. The reason I ask is i'm in a band now and want it to sound as good as possible for when we start gigging.

Ah thats a good idea I will try that. Why do you suggest removing the teeth of the hacksaw ?

Hi Guys my bass truss rod adjuster cover has a thredded screw (2nd hand bass) and want ed to see if any one had any advice to remove this is the type of cover and it is the top that is thredded.
