Steel wire from B&Q with an appropriate connector works great. I've had it on both my uprights for years without a problem

If you're still bored look up "slip-sticking" which is the action of a bow on the strings (and the reason why the bow needs Rosin)

Great for jazz or other asymmetrical basses.
These are £25 from Thomann sell for £15 collected or buyer pays shipping. I think I have the box for this too.
PS how do you rotate the images? -
bump for weekend price drop as I've just bought a ass off ebay
now down to £425 -
I may be interested if Marting hasn't beaten me to it

I'm selling this as I have three amps, and can manage with two with a PA for backup.
I'm looking for £225 ONO collected from Radcliffe, M26, but would consider posting if needs be.
It's in pretty good condition and comes with a rack bag (that's a bit ratty tbh), I'm not really after trades, but you can always ask
Here's some pics, but I'm sure you all appreciate it's difficult to photograph in it's chromy awesome splendour

bump, I'm happy to listen to offers

Hi all,
I'm selling this as it's not getting much use and could do with using the cash elsewhere. I'm after £190 + shipping, but collection from Radcliffe is always welcome
This is basically a live audio interface, you plug it into the channel inserts of any mixing desk using the provided looms, and then it records live into an external usb drive of your choice (not provided). Then transfer to a DAW for mixdown/post processing etc.
It's great for doing live studio recordings of up to 16 tracks simultaneously.
For the manufacturers website, click here
Here's my unit, with the looms (which you would normally buy separately)

Hi all,
Lovely Ray 35 for sale.
Since no one seems to be buying, I'm going to offer it up for a trade (at a value of around £450) - it's sat in it's case not being played, which is such a shame.
Trade wise, I quite fancy something different - if there's a budget chapman stick kind of thing (if such a thing exists), maybe something headless, maybe some lightweight cabs ummm, I dunno try me.
I'm not after anything fendery, and probably not after a 5 string, but shoot me a msg if you like. It'll prolly end up on ebay if nothings happening here.
Here's some pics, helpfully auto rotated for some reason

There's one small ding on the neck, which is impossible to photograph, otherwise the condition is excellent.
The bass weighs 4.9kg, but is actually really comfy on the strap, and I've done a few 3x45min gigs with it, (and longer rehearsals) without it feeling heavy at all. (It's actually lighter than my MIJ 75RI)
Collection is ideal, but could sort out some courrier arrangements if needs be -

I've moved back to a multi FX unit (again ) so sadly I'm going to move these two amazing pedals on. I really want to keep them, if only cos they're so godammed sexy, but they're sat in their boxes not being used, and i still have gas which needs fixing.

They are both great units and (the Obscura especially) great for ambient stuff -There's plenty of stuff on youtube showing what they can do.
Here's some pics

They are in as new condition (except for digitech provided velcro on the base) with all the case candy. I'll knock a bit off if someone wants to take both units. Payment ideally by Paypal gift (or you eat the fees ) but can do bank transfer if necessary. -
