I believe he got a fretless already. Thanks
Yep - it was me.

Couldn't help myself. Went to the Mensinger/Maruszczyk website and fell in love with a Cazpar fretless. Otherwise PawelG's bass would have been mine by now (sorry Pawel!!!!!).

2. SOLD

Just bought from koval123 but my car MOT forces a sale. To be honest I'd rather flog the car than this bass but I think the current Mrs McKay would have something to say about that!

The bass is in good condition. It's been well looked after and properly maintained. The neck is made of some dark exotic wood (most likely padauk) with rosewood fretboard, body is of maple with beautiful curly maple top on mahogany veneer. All this in satin wax finish.

Hardware-wise it sports Warwick 3D bridge, Warwick tuners, brass saddle and Schaller straplock pins. Pickups are active MECs, three knobs controling vol-vol-tone.
Neck is nice and smooth with truss rod working as it should, jumbo frets have plenty of life left (minor signs of use). There are some small scratches and marks on the wood surface.

The sound is warm and punchy, with lots of mids. The weight of the guitar is about 4,5 kg (9,8 lb). It comes with a nice padded gig-bag in very good condition.

I had sent the guitar to Jon Shuker (at Shuker Bass) to change the fingerboard to fretless but I have had to cancel that work and the bass is on its way back to me.
Jon had taken it apart in readiness for the work, but put it all back together so I guess you could say it has had a good setup!

3. SOLD: Yamaha TRBX504 in Stealth/Matte Black

I'm in Glasgow and will reduce the price by £25 if you can collect in person.

Recently bought from a fellow BCer (Vinny) this is one of a pair that I am selling (getting my car through it's MOT is now more of priority!). The first one has been sold.

This particular bass has 4hrs on the clock.

Great build quality and has some really great features. It has both active and passive options. I have all sorts of plates and pins in my left wrist yet I have found the neck to be slim and very easy to play, similar to the Ibanez SR range. The bass is well balanced and sits nicely on a strap. I was blown away by the build quality of these models and I believe they wipe the floor with other guitars in their price range.

Hi, I'm very intrested in buying this bass,
but since you are new to the forum and don't have any feedback yet that proves that you are a trustworthy seller I wanted to ask you if you would be willing to ship the bass first and then get payment after the bass has arrived?
I just don't feel save sending money to a seller with zero feedback, with no disrespect, I hope you understand.
(I can pay with paypal so you get the money in your account the same day the bass arrives here)

Kind regards,
Don

ps: I have tons of positive feedback on this forum, both as seller and buyer, so you can be sure I will send you the money once the bass has safely arrived at my home. ;)

6. To the OP

I've got pins 'n' plates in my left hand also and I find that the slimmer/thinner necks of the Yamaha and Ibanez basses help somewhat.

I also find that your choice of songs will help. I tend to go for the tunes where I can play mid way up the fingerboard to reduce any stretching wherever possible. No point in trying to learn tunes that force you beyond what your wrist is comfortable with.

Hope you find what you are looking for - and have fun doing it!
