Swopped a beautiful classically-styled Cazpar 4 fretless for a complete tone monster of a bass - a Spector Bantam - from scrumpymike.
A gentleman of integrity that I would not hesitate to recommend. Clear and swift communications from a trustworthy Basschatter. Thanks Mike!

That’s a really cool short scale. Do they offer these basses in lefty by any chance? I would quite fancy one of these in a fretless version.
Hi sblueplanet
I don't recall seeing any lefties so you might need to order a custom. I've PM'd you.
Cheers,
David

Hi all
The model at Bass Direct is the passive version. My Cazpar is active.
Trust that helps clarify!

Looks lovely! Is it black hardware (ad) or silver (images) - it looks like chrome or nickel on my phone?
Thanks! Silver hardware. Ad now updated.

Price reduced. I thought my Cazpar was the only one in stock at Bass Direct! Apparently they have one more. Not the sort of instrument they get in batches usually, as they are hand-made.

This is very pretty... the last picture appears to be a different bass to the others though (has one less control pot). With a 2-band EQ I'm assuming yours is the one with 3-knobs + toggle?
Hi Tim. Yep - I grabbed that last photo (now removed) from the Bass Direct site. My one does indeed have the 3-knobs + toggle.

Lovely Bass - but Bass Direct have then in stock £875 new??
Macbass68. You are correct. I honestly thought they only had one for sale - and that I had bought it. I'll check it out and consider updating the add.

a wise decision! beautiful little bass!
Indeed. What was I thinking?!?!?

Folks
In hindsight, it was a mistake to post the bass for sale. Even if I am unable to devote time to it over the next 12 months or so, at least I'm able to appreciate its beauty.
I'm glad I got the chance to reconsider before I sold it.
Sorry - and thank you for your interest.
MODS - I would be most grateful if you could remove.
Many thanks,
David

I love that bass.
Me too. I could look at it all day -- actually, that is what I tend to do! Getting round to playing it is the issue. Too many instruments - not enough cash. Same old same old.

3.2Kg. 30" scale length.
Comes with Maruszczyk padded gig bag.
Yes - I would consider posting.
Many thanks,
David
Actually, I believe it is closer to 2.8Kg.

lol, I just might do that..
I must admit I'm a bit scared of the jump to no fretlines AND the difference in scale length which might take some time to get used to, but on the other hand I'm looking for something compact and lightweight as (due to some recent health issues) I can't play anything else anymore, so this sure looks tempting for a fretless lover with a bad shoulder.
I understand completely. I went for short scale because a wrist injury means I can't stretch to 34".

I saw this and wished it had been a lefty. Exactly what I am after.
Yep - it is a beauty. I won't be heartbroken if I don't actually sell it to be honest!

very nice!
I'm in the market for a lightweight fretless,
could you please post the weight and the scale lenght (30"? 32"?) please?
Also, do you have a hardcase for it and would you consider shipping?
kind regards,
Donovan
