Price drop to £250!!! For sale is my Markbass SA450. I purchased this amp about 5 years ago second hand. I have gigged with it fairly regularly since then. It is a great amp and I am only selling because I am looking to downsize to a combo amp. These have been discontinued by Markbass for a while now and I believe they are fairly hard to come by. Anyone who knows much about early to mid 80's Japanese Squires will already be aware of their quality and how sought after they are. I purchased this one in store from Bass Direct for £800. The receipt pictured shows £719 however this paid after an initial 10% deposit making the total purchase £800. The bass is in the exact same condition as when I purchased it. It is currently strung with D'Addario flat wound strings though I am likely to change them back to round wounds when I sell. I bought it brand new from Dawsons in Leeds in May 2012.[/color][/size][/font] [color=#000000][font=-webkit-standard][font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif][size=4]The original pickup was replaced with an Aguilar AG 4P-60 about a year ago. [/size][/font][/font][/color] [color=#000000][font=-webkit-standard][font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif][size=4]There is some cosmetic wear to the instrument in the usual places i.e. top of the headstock and around the edges of the body, and also some wear to the finish next to the bridge from playing with a sponge mute, which only shows up in very bright light (as pictured). It remains to be a very cool looking bass. It is strung with a brand new set off Rotosound Swing 66 strings.[/size][/font][/font][/color] [color=#000000][font=-webkit-standard][font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif][size=4]Local collection from my home in the West Midlands is preferred however as a working musician, I travel around the country regularly so it may be possible to arrange an alternative collection location.
