1. I recently got hold of a Spector Legend 6 which had already been upgraded with EMG-X pick ups and preamp. I don't think this choice complements the bass, there are a range of tones that sound awful, and although I can dial in some good tones, I can't help but feel a change would be better.
So.., does anyone have any suggestions at all please? I love my Bartolini in my MTD, and my East in the Clement, but not sure what would suit this?

3. Selling an in excellent condition hardly used Aguilar Agro pedal. £5 shipping anywhere in mainland UK. RRP £189

Here's the blurb:

The AGRO[sup]®[/sup] is based on the saturation channel of Aguilar's celebrated AG 500 bass head. Capable of producing everything from warm, tube-like overdrive to full on distortion, this pedal will give you the grind you need without sucking out your low end.

The AGRO[sup]®[/sup] offers a wealth of overdriven sounds within an easy to use, 4-knob layout. The Saturation control offers a tremendous range of distortion while the Contour control allows you to dial in a scooped or a more aggressive boosted midrange sound. The Presence knob adds the right amount of 'attack' ensuring that your bass remains defined even with the most saturated settings. The output level control guarantees that you'll be able to get the distortion you want at any volume level.

Specs:
Separate Saturation and output level controls
Contour control: broad spectrum mid scoop centered around 900Hz
Presence control: + 6dB/-20dB >4kHz

4. Yeah I loved it. A little overkill for home use, but some EQ and Vol control made it very nice. More than ample at practices with a very loud drummer and two loud guitars. Gigged it and it stood up really well, FOH liked the DI out too! The kickback angle made it clearly heard on stage.

Only passed it on as there was a local second hand Barefaced and I wanted to move to 2 12" cabs with separate head for more transport and gigging flexibility.

I'm sure you'll love it. The suggested EQ settings in the manual make for great starting points, but it is capable of much more. It's a cab with lots of tonal flexibility and power by the shed loads. Getting a foot switch gives you a free overdrive pedal too!

You'll be pleased to hear that any two button latching footswitch with a stereo jack plug on the end will suffice!

+1, i had one recently and went out of my way to source an HFS, only to find any old tom, dick or Harry would've done!
Fantastic amp though, great tone options and loads of power for the money!

I've only got experience of the Rockbass version of the Corvette, I hated it. Probably the most uncomfortable bass I've ever played. Perhaps the genuine article is different, but the way it hung on the strap, the first fret felt miles away.

+1, also had the same issues on a full Warwick Corvette - so not just a Rockbass issue.
