First bass I borrowed was a 2A played through a borrowed Beatles bass amp - the one on a frame. Really good basses but the first decent bass I bought a Jaydee and I could never go back. -
If I was buying a Ric I'd buy a 4004, if I also had a time machine I'd buy a 4004LK. I need a new fretboard on my 4001 and I am going to have my tame luthier put an ebony board on it. Also I'm modernising a lot of the rest of the bass. Got most of the parts already.
