2. Peavey Zodiac sig bass with a super fast thin neck, and the whole thing looks great. I would recommend this bass for any level of player in any style of music a real great buy! Designed with veteran metal bassist David Ellefson, Peavey Zodiac DE Scorpio Bass Guitars are solid rock bass guitars featuring both split-coil and single-coil pickups. In the celebrated Peavey tradition, Zodiac basses combine sought-after features with the road-worthy durability required by serious rock players. Like other basses in the Zodiac Series, the David Ellefson signature model is built using a solid alder body with sculpted front and back contours and equipped with an articulating bridge with machined saddles. The Scorpio is also outfitted to his specs, including custom Seymour Duncan pickups, a gloss-black finish and a mirrored pickguard. The Scorpio Bass features 2 master volume controls and one master tone control for shaping the Zodiac sound. Other features include an 8" radius maple neck so players can work into the 21-fret rosewood fingerboard in comfort, plus all-chrome hardware; butterfly tuners; and a Switchcraft jack. FEATURES

34" scale
21 frets
Black finish with chrome-plated pickguard
8" radius maple neck with rosewood fingerboard
Solid alder body with sculpted front and back contours
Steel bridge with machined steel saddles
1 1/2" nut width
All chrome-plated hardware
Seymour Duncan split-coil and single-coil pickups
Passive electronics
Two master volume controls and one master tone control
Switchcraft jack
Butterfly tuning pegs
Like new condition -home use only free UK shipping or Local pick up from NP16 any questions please contact me
 3. Selling my Dean Sledgehammer. Made in Korea in 2007, head stock is stamped US so possibly made in the Un Sung factory which would make sense as although this was only around the £600 mark when new it is a quality instrument with a very comfortable neck and a solidly well designed bridge...it is also an extremely light bass! For a nine year old bass there are some marks hear and there, most notably the photo shows some surface marks to the upper horn of the body. Otherwise it is in good condition and is a joy to play. I will box and thoroughly bubble wrap and send via a courier or you are welcome to collect From NP16 . 4. easy transaction..... i paid up front via bank transfer and received the bass (a Vigier Excess) in great condition a few days later many thanks
 5. nope theyre arent really humbuckers as only one side is wired(2 wires from a sealed unit one black and one white coming from each PUP) when i do a tap test only the inner 4 poles on each are doing anything
 6. going to buy some 8mm magnets and place on them see if that raises the output
 7. yes purchase from new and pick ups are set at a good height. got these comments from a review site: All of the pots (vol, tone) are useless beyond the 1st 10%. The pickups are hum cancelling, but not really humbuckers. & a pretty good bass but for an annoying hum which I cannot get rid of, all the metal parts including the bridge are well connected to the negative side of the output jack so should be going to earth OK but I cannot get rid of it. It is OK at rehearsal volume but cranked up live it is so bad I have given up on playing at it gigs which is a pity as it plays very well and I really liked the sound, I have tried different amps but with no improvement.
 8. Hi all i purchased a PRS Kingfisher for a great price and she plays like a dream the only trouble is the signal is very weak/thin are there any fixes/suggestions? i dont really want to go active but should i swap out the Pots? maybe get a on-board passive preamp ive seen Glokenklang, Darkglass, Aguilar mentioned .....the bass has a separate vol for each humbucker + 1 tone
 9. hi all I own one of the original USA 4 string Cirrus basses (must be an early one from the faded stamped serial number). anyway i need to have a clear-out but was wondering how much it would be worth? its a 35inch scale and i'm more suited to a 34inch and that's the only reason im thinking of selling her, as its the best bass i've owned in my 30 years and ive owned a shed load of much more pricey basses, and if its good enough for John Taylor hey. cheers j
 10. its a shame i cannot try all these out...really torn between the Overwater/tanglewood, and the SRs(700 or 1600)
 11. cheers jack1592 ive got the chance of a Ibanez SR700 or a SR1600 for just £160 more, is the 1600 worth the extra £160(it has nordstrand pups, doesnt seem to have any other major differences) ive a an original Peavey Cirrus that i should sell but would never get what its worth and its an amazing bass i just struggle on the 1st/2nd frets with my small hands, im hoping that the 34" Ibanez will be much more suitable cheers j
 12. hi im looking for new/used bass but modern times mean that its hard to try certain models out the shortlist is Carvin bass kit bk40 Ibanez SRXXXX any of the range from 500-1200 or ATK800 Overwater tanglewood Jazz (ive tried the aspiration which is great just prefer a 34") i dont slap just fingers no pick mostly metal hard rock 70/80s Rock/Pop all advice gratefully received which would be the best bang for buck? thanks J
