7.
Standard are Mexican made - you can get them new here for not much more than £350 and then you'd have import duties to pay if you're unlucky. Now, if you found American Series basses at that price it might be a different matter.
since posting I see its a labor day sale and the same basses have dropped to $420-$430 Squiers are the same price. I think I will jump for one as a good all purpose jobbing bass...
 8. I am having a holiday an San Francisco and I see Fender Jazz Standards in a variety of colours can be had for $660-ish -- I was wondering if that was a good price? With the dollar that's £350 or so. At that sort of dosh I could buy two
 9. I'm probably going to get my ass kicked for saying this but I like the look of a well beaten up bass... None of this aged "Jaco copy" stuff (with the age pre worn at the workshop), but real history in dem dings...
 10. Sold pending the usual handover of flappy stuff (and obligatory starbucks coffee...) many thanks
 11.
Nice instrument , would you consider trades ?
sadly not as I have too many Basses -- one will have to go when I finish making my solid oak body bass
 12.
i like the grain of those hi fi speaker cabinets.
Hey thanks -- those are Zebrawood veneer -- the whole process of veneering my big old black ugly brutes is documented here: http://flickr.com/photos/tanais/sets/72157600272689589/ Anyway this is just a bump to say I have my extra basses sorted now (have had for some time) and I really ought to let the CR4M EUB go now. So If anyone is still interested. Drop me an email [email protected]. Can't say I want to see her go hence my delay and procrastination. Open to near offers. Cheers.

 14. Well it seems I am in need of moving to a 5-string EUB and I cannot justify keeping my 4-string NS Design CR4M. Its a lovely Bass and my next is the CR5M (already ordered). This has been used solely for session recording and has never been on stage (I tend to move across to fretless guitar for those parts) so she's in super condition. Cheapest is in the £1480 region (thomann.de) so asking £900. The step up from passive WAV basses to the pukka CR4M is significant in terms of tonality and intonation... A Lovely bass in great condition (as can be seen in the photos) - bow not included. I am based in Southern Scotland/Borders. Can ship and will ship internationally. email [email protected]
