1. Selling one of my Hartke cabs as I've moved on to other gear.

Great cab, goes pretty loud for it's size and the switchable 4/8 ohm feature is brilliant.

Painted the grill black a while ago as i thought it looked better. Also put some feet on the side so it can sit either way round.

Served me well for 4 years and has picked up a fair few knocks, chips, and the tolex is starting to peel. It does come with a roqsolid cover too.

Open to offers, collection from Leigh on Sea, or I can meet you / deliver if you're not too far away.

Excellent! Be great to get a pic of your 2Notes on your favourite settings, and looking forward to your full review.

I've been asked by Osiris as to how close I can get to the 2Notes sound on my Zoom B3n? We'll if you're up for the challenge too, that would be definitely be cool. Two heads and all that... :)

Pictures and review coming soon...sounded great last night. The rest of the band commented on how great it sounded in their ears as well so that's a win in itself!
Need to spend a bit of time on getting the heavier gain settings perfect for our PA. But there's always going to be a bit of tweaking depending on the room etc.
Cant wait to do some recording with it, hopefully I can get a few clips together.

I'm up for having a go with the B3n, I'm not a million miles off already with the Dark Pre. I don't think it will have the punch that the Le Bass seems to have though !

3. Got my Le Bass set up on the board for tonight's gig. Cant wait.
It's sounding great through my in ears, really punchy, and the overdrive....it's exactly what I wanted.
Will put a proper review together once I've gigged it!

Good man! And that's kinda reassuring in that, while I think I can get a good portion of the way there to a "2Notes sound" with the Zoom B3n's overdrive emulation SIMs, I wasn't convinced I could get close enough, which was a factor in me splashing out on a 2Notes (albeit a second hand one) just a week or so ago. You seem to have come to the same conclusion on that point?

You're actually the first other BCer I've come across with both a B3n and a 2Notes (unless dannybuoy has a B3n in his arsenal and has just been keeping quiet about it?! :)), so it will be interesting to compare notes (or Two?) with you as we get to grips with what it's capable of.

[Btw - I also had a MS-60B. Amazing value for money in terms of effects under one hood, but I found the user interface, particularly for live performance with just one foot switch a real pain. The Zoom B3n with 3 foot switches and 3 foot pedals, and a much easier to use SIM editor (for me anyway) has transformed my view of multi-fx and I'm definitely a fan of the B3n.]

Exactly that, I've been using the Dark Pre on the B3n but it's still not quite what I want. Having the DI built in is a plus as well as my main gig is without an amp/cab on stage so that cuts down one peice of gear.
I picked up a Diamond Bass Comp as well, as I liked the comps in the B3/n but found I always got noise when using them, where as the Diamond is whisper quite and pretty difficult to get a bad sound out of.
Im only going to be using the MS-60B for the z-tron, and my sub sound for the last 20 minutes of our set (which uses a combination of effects that are on all of the zoom units) so I can afford to make one patch change mid gig. I agree with you though, I'll happily use the B3n on its own, super easy to make changes live.
My plan is to have my metro 20 with the comp, oc-2, le bass and MS60 in the loop as my main board, and I'll take the B3n out on its own for smaller stuff.

Good stuff! But methinks the 2Notes is not going to replace your B3 entirely (if you're using it for anything other than what Channel A and Channel B on the 2Notes can provide?) and I would definitely recommend looking into the Zoom B3n too, particularly if you were using your B3 for live performance - the B3n's live interface with 3 additional footswitches makes it a pleasure to use.

Oh, I've got a B3n ! I have and will still use the B3n for some gigs, and practising / messing about with the looper at home. I just prefered the 'squeak' distortion on the B3 to any on the n, and the DI.
I have an MS60-B that I'll probably end up putting in the effects loop of the Le Bass for any weird stuff, and my horrible sub sound I use for our dance set.

Sounds like you are onto a winner though. Let us know how you get on post gig.

Coming to end of our busiest period now, so we've done plenty of gigs using the In ear rig.
We've only had to mess about with it a couple of times (photographers wireless flashes seem to cause the most agro) but overall, it's been great. Really miss it when doing a small pub gig and just a vocal PA.
Absolutely love using it with the QU24 and the qu-you app.
The silicone tips that came with it seem to fit quite nicely for me as well, although I'm onto the spare pair already.
Any recommendations for replacement tips ?

I think having them moulded will happen eventually, although Ill have to wait until I can be without them for a couple of weeks so that won't be until winter.

7. Bought this on here last week, it's a great pedal but just not the sound I need.
£100 Inc UK postage. You can collect it from me in Leigh on Sea (Essex), or if you're not too far a meet up could work.
Message me with an email for pictures. In near mint condition, velcro on the underneath.

8. Looks like a return / exchange isn't going to happen.
The replacement front plate has been ordered, maybe 2/3 weeks until thats available then I will be sending it off for repair. GAK have offered to cover this as this particular repair isn't covered by the warrenty apparently.
So I will end up without the amp in the middle of my main bands busiest period, but the inconvenience isn't taken into account according to GAK.
I guess it's a solution, it's just disappointing that it's taken this long.

9. GAK still on the defensive and refusing to let me return it.
They've offered to pay for the front plate replacement, but also given me a 2-3 week ETA. No good as I need the amp for gigs. A friend has suggested complaining about the service on social media. Not really what I want to do but I guess it's getting to that stage.

11. If/when I get a refund I will go for something similar, just bought elsewhere!

Probably a LM3, the 'tube' in this one adds a little something but live I prefered to keep it on the solid state side anyway, sounded clearer to me.

I'm so sorry, checked the amp then nipped to the pub to make a couple of business calls- never really made it back!

Visually, the front panel looks like brushed aluminium painted black. Temperature-wise it's very cold to the touch suggesting the same, but tapping with a pen sounds like it might be a kind of plastic, or just a thicker ali than the other panels. Very hard to tell, to be honest, although no signs of failure whatsoever. As I expected to be home sooner I didn't check the LMII!

Glad you got a favourable response from the distributor, will you get a replacement or move on to something else?

12. Well, this is me done with GAK...and I strongly suggest steering clear of them in the future.

MSL have told me they're not aware of this issue (sounds like GAK haven't even been in touch) and that a refund shouldn't be a problem.

13. What is the front panel on your 250 made of if you don't mind me asking ?
My Little Mark 250 had very crackly pots from the off, acceptable now, but still not completely fixed on the master volume by switch cleaner. The front panel has been fine though.

I actually had a weird experience with GAK- a GK MB112 combo cut out during a gig, fortunately towards the end of the night, and I was able to get through with the DI to the PA. Although it worked again later at home I wasn't going to trust it for any more jobs, so wanted to return it and buy the more expensive Markbass NY121 cab from them (and I also later picked up the aforementioned LM250 elsewhere as a spare head). For some reason, despite the offer of a bigger sale (although who knows what profit they make on different items) they went into a kind of default defense mode, refusing to accept a return and blaming me for causing a fault through misuse (I was a pro with about 20 years experience at the time, maybe 5 years back!).

They weren't budging, and I didn't 'know my rights' quite so well then. I fell ill and a bandmate offered to speak to them as he was a long standing customer. I suspect he turned up and was an aggressive dick, but they eventually accepted the item back and took the rest of my money for the better product, possibly just to get him off their backs.

It always struck me as odd that they were so reticent to take back a pretty recently bought item, especially as I was clearly keen to replace it with a more expensive one for the purposes of making my living.

14. That's interesting. I've mentioned that I've been in contact with msl (the guy at gak made out like he's waiting on a response from them - they replied to me in half an hour !) and the response has been 'probably better off cutting out the middle man and going direct' ! This is totally wrong if my contract is technically with the retailer ?
Disappointed with GAK, always enjoy browsing the brighton store but the after care just seems lazy.

15. Something I should know? Should I stop being polite ?

I went to msl and got a response in about half an hour, hopefully I'll get a better solution from them direct.

Oh no.....not GAK after service 😩
16. The B3n definitely does this. That's how I use mine, I have three patches that I can jump between, and switch different effects in and out within the patches. Really easy to do :)

This new boss pedal looks really tempting though, could create the perfect mix of multi effects and single stomps.

17. I bought it from GAK. Never had any problems with them but then again I've never had to contact their customer service before. And in fairness, they're response is quick, just a bit disappointed with the solution they've offered. Box the head up and send it off to have the pot sorted, and possibly (the front plate breaking isn't covered by the warrenty) have the front plate replaced while it's there.
Going to contact them directly and see what sort of response I get.

The front plate seems really flimsy at the edges, it's attached by a couple of screws going through the middle of it. Not a great design imo. Guessing this is due to it being a newer version compared to the older Italian stuff.

18. Thanks, I'll see what reply I get from the retailer today and look into contacting the distributer then.
I know it's not a difficult fix, change the front plate and if needs be spray the pot, but surely brand new doing this myself would void the warranty in some way?
It's been in the mark bass soft case that they make for the little mark heads, it's quite a snug fit but if this is the problem then that's a design flaw surely?
I've used it once/twice a week in the studio for rehearsal, and it been out for 5 gigs.
