  2. I had the same problem. It turns out they'd wired the tone control incorrectly. To fix it, you'll need to get out the soldering iron and fiddle with the tone control. The tone control is wired like this from the factory (on my one anyway): [font=courier new,courier,monospace] To tone booster -----O-/=====\ From bridge volume --O-| Pot | Capacitor -----------O-\=====/[/font] The cap's other leg is grounded on the pot. To fix it, do this: [font=courier new,courier,monospace] (disconnected) x x x O-/=====\[/font] [font=courier new,courier,monospace] Capacitor -----------O-| Pot |[/font] [font=courier new,courier,monospace] From bridge volume --O-\=====/ To tone booster ----/[/font] Make sure the cap's other leg is still grounded to the pot. Now it plays like it's supposed to!
